I've emailed the BBC weather site, as in order to do this I need to know all of the possible weather symbols and the associated .gif files (e.g. 1.gif=Sunny, 24.gif=Light Snow etc.)

I'll have to wait for their reply (hopefully they will be helpful, and not just tell me it would breach copyright or something), otherwise I'd have to try and find every type of weather symbol somewhere in the world and extract the details from the web pages :eek:

seem to have everything working bar the uktv script, can get it to create the txt and i can display the line I want and even get it to link to the webby but for the life of me cannot get it to update................ how? can anyone help please

From memory you need to create an Active Script, set it to read your UKTV script and update every 'x' mins.

arrgh I can't get MBM to work with Samurise. What version of MBM does everyone use? I remeber I had to use an old version cos the newer one didn't play nicely with LCD Smartie...

The only problem which I've now got is that I'm losing about 6% of CPU (Athlon 1.4Ghz) to all of the stuff which I've got running in Samurize...

There seems to be a minimum overhead of about 4% by just having Samurize running with a 1000ms refresh (which you need for the clock), and the other high-frequency stuff like Memory/Drive/Network utilisation adds another 2%.

I'm also going to try to reduce the peak CPU utilisation by staggering the refresh of the internet-based stuff (weather/news etc.).

I just close Samurize when i'm playing games, any other time I notice no difference

Yeah, I suppose it doesn't make a huge difference apart from gaming - there is a 'Pause' item on the right-click menu.

Ive found that having it running causes occasional lag when watching DivX's, so I just pause or quit it when doing this, any other time I dont notice lag at all.

When I run the client then load a config I get a 'No Disk In Drive' message pop up! Anyone else get this msg or know whats doing it? If I click cancel it seems to work anyway!

Hmm,

Id guess its because the Drive Space meters are linking to your A: or CD drives, which are empty, so it comes up with No Disc.

Im using MBM 5.2.2.0

Remember it has to be running in the background for the MBM meters to work.

Also you need to make sure that MBM is setup correctly to actually display the correct readings!!

Just downloaded the new MBM proggy and the temps show fine now the only problems i have is this

CPU Type: [not yet excecuted]
Frequency:1400 = [not yet excecuted][not yet excecuted]
CPU usage:0%

Does it get these figures from MBM as well or some where else?

Ok,

No, it doesnt get those figures from MBM.

To get these, you have to use ExtendedProps.vbs which you can get from the Samurize site.

U get the icons from www.samurize.com when u download the UKTV News script.

Just had a look in my scripts folder and Extendedprops.vbs is in there.................any help?

Ok, create an Active Script Meter and link it to ExtendedProps.vbs

You will then have a dropdown box with loads of options to do with your computer in them.

Select the ones you want and it should give the stuff you need.
