My cpu isnt prime stable, but the pc hasnt crashed once during gaming or general windows usage..
If you feel that's fine so be it, I run distributed computing and when doing that a Prime95 stable machine is essential as you can't run it accurate on a machine that thinks 2 + 2 = 4.000000001

And on the other hand even if I wouldn't run DC I would still feel better if my machine was Prime95 stable.

My OEM arrived yesterday (CCBWE 0543) along with my expert board, so far i have managed to get 3.2Ghz out of it at 1.55V under my MACH II, will post screenies drekly

stable enough to run a few benchies, will try prime 95 over the weekend and post pictures then to, think i will probably be able to squeeze a fair bit more out of it when i get me MACH II running a little colder

How noisy is that Mach II Cliffy? I have considered phase cooling myself, but the expense is such that i need to be sure i have a good clocking chip before i attempt it.

Big Wayne - What is the point of being Dual Prime stable? Surely if a machine can run prime stable, it is going to be stable enough for any normal usage workload you throw at it. Dual prime stable for 20 hours is extremely stable to my mind, i don't think i would ever be using as much as half that amount of load on my processor under the heaviest usage, so why go dual?

I dont think you'd be disappointed, i had a vapochill micro extreme on it before and to be honest that was a lot louder than me MACH II, just be carefull for the cold bug when finding a cpu, i spent many days researching which steppings suffered least from the cold and then where to get them

The newer 3700+ San Diego's may just swing it for me to buy one instead of a Opty... I would like to definatly try one or two out for overclocking capability.

Probably get a few CPU's at once to test out. Should be some fun.

Have anyone heard if the newer 4000+ San Diego's clock well?

How do i upload my images?

I have a screen print of my overclock to go up in here.

CPU - 11*230 - 2.53Ghz
Vcore - 1.344
Memory:180.8Mhz
FSB:DRAM CPU/14

SuperPi - 34m 51s
Sisoft:
Drystone - ALU 11344 MIPS
Whetstone - iSSE3 5123MFLOPS

No Prime as yet as only just built the thing..

what sort of max clocks on air are most people getting woith this stepping

Not sure, but if your at 2800MHz stock volts then get the volts increased a little. Seems to me that you have a golden chip there. Is it 2800Mhz prime stable by the way?

Take a screen print then you need to upload your image to a image hosting site like Photobucket.com. Once you have uploaded it on there, then copy the IMG code thats under the picture on Photobucket and paste it in your post. Should be something like:
Your done then.

3dmark 05 scores 3700+ CCBWE 0543 864

heres some of my results so far, i need to get a longer internal USB cable so that i can set the fans on my MACH II to turbo to cool my 3700+ a little colder then i am sure i will get more of an overclock out of it, unfortunately one stick of my geil one memory has died so this is currently been done on 512Mb on single channel.

This is my 7800GT's on Sli clocked to 510Mhz core and 1170Mhz Mem

Heres Single card at same clocks

The Gainwards are normal 7800Gt with a bios modd on them thats how i can overclock them so much, Pretty confident i will be able to get more out of the 3700 but need to make it a little colder first
