Even though you don't need the grunt it's newer and has AV1 from what I understand which might be useful for media playback?Yeah thought about it but don't really need the extra grunt from it. I mean by that logic i may as well go for the cheap 6700xt on offer right now for not much more.

Extra grunt gives some degree of future proofing too.
I mean its not my main rig, but i suppose it makes a good back up for the test bench for fiddling around with.

What is the rest of your pc spec?Anyone know where I should be aiming with an under volt on the 6700 XT? I’ve stuck it on 1150mV (default is 1200) and seems ok so far but still getting 90°C junction temps.
So far my Time Spy score has jumped from 4000 to 11500, Unigine 1292 > 3746. Also managing 90fps in Horizon 5 in 1440p ultrawide. Very happy with that.
