Sapphire AMD Deals

I've not switched, I'm building my son a PC and going to use the 7900XT for that.

Though I don't technically need the card till Christmas, but I thought it was a good offer and I was going to buy the premium version of Starfield.
Jeez your son got a 7900XT for his build, hope he did his chores the last month to earn that card! :D

Yes he is very lucky, I promised him a PC this Christmas/Birthday as his birthday is on the 27th December.

Though I was planing on getting him a 7800 and I have gone a little over budget

Looks like a nice fit. Im currently running a 3080 fe in mine. Ive spaced it out so the face of the gpu is pretty close to the mesh. This helps it bring only cold air in, and gives a little space behind it, which helps with the through cooler of the fe, and also helps with cables/tubes. It looks like you have yours in the default location? Temps good?

Thank you! It's a tight fit for sure. Thankfully I've got my PC mounted under the desk, as I have to have the DP cable poking directly out the bottom lol. That 3080FE must be snug in yours @champ222 ?

I did have my old 3060Ti spaced out for extra air flow behind it, but with the 7900XT being nearer a 3 slot cars it's back in stock position. I could move the central motherboard tray, but I've got space for the AIO tubes the other side too at the mo. Temps are great for the 7900XT (not always for the cpu though!) and I've never seen it go above 66c. It's also really quiet too. Much quieter than my ols card.

The 6700XT I ordered arrived today. My next day off is next Thursday. Bah!

So the question is whether I will be sensible and leave it until my next day off or new toy! new toy!

It's not so much about the driver cleaning, card swap and driver installation (I'm switching manufacturers, so thorough driver cleaning is a good idea). It's the 10+ hours of benchmarking and tweaking and more benchmarking. Of course, I could leave everything at default and use my gaming-orientated graphics card for playing games. But what kind of monster would do that? :)

No guts no glory, judging by the text you don't sound okay to me... perhaps it's time to take a break?
