Saturday 8th December Boxing! **SPOILERS**

I gotta admit Mayweather is a class fighter, made seemingly light work of our boy Ricky :(

But we're all proud of yer lad, no doubt

You did your best & made us all proud, we love ya Ricky :)

Can't deny hatton his aggression, he's made of concrete but it took its toll in the end I guess :(
After a while it became clear that just agitating mayweather by getting in close all the time wasn't enough, Hatton just wasn't landing any punches which were doing damage....
Great match though, and Mayweather was a bit more sporting than I thought he would have been.

Definitley, the way Mayweather took the brunt of Hatton then started with the big shots despite Hatton trying to run him over all the time, was brilliant..

He really is a league above everybody else and to be fair his claim of being better than Ali seems pretty reasonable to me.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Before we start sucking each others ***** lets get a little perspective here ;) :D

Personally I don't think we'll see another Ali again, but hell that's just my opinion :)

agreed - mayweather was class in the last 3/4 round of the fight. Some dodgy tactics at the start and the ducking and elbows from mayweather got under rickys skin a bit and i think he started chasing it to much. Some poor refereeing also but at the end of the day Mayweather did start to really pick him apart.

Shame. :( :(

He can only fight whats in front of him and he's been miles better than everyone who's been put in front of him, the difference in class today was pretty shocking tbh

Mayweather was just too good for him which was a shame to see. There didn't seem to be anyway he could have changed the way he fought. If he took a step back to create space then Floyd would have picked him off.

The big problem now is that there are no 'stars' at 140lbs, not one big name fighter is in the division anymore so I really don't know who he is going to target next.

I just didn't see the hatton we all know do you think he didn't get any sleep maybe ? he looked tired from the opening bell onwards to me

Couldn't agree more with what one of the panel guys said tbh, Ricky just seemed too emotional but theres no denying Mayweathers ability. Im also suprised by the after fight interview with Mayweather, i've always thought of him as a really arrogant **** but tbh he came across as reasonably pleasant :p

Seeing Ricky go down just made me sick though :( watching the build up to the fight doesn't help much either.

Gutted and distraught for hatton being a fan but at the end of the day mayweather was supreme in the end.

I agree aswell, ricky looked far to um, nervous or pent up before the fight and even admitted himself that he went away from the gameplan whatever it was.

Have to say though floyd was cool in the end like i knew he would be with ricky and ricky should move back down to lightwelterweight.

As for the yanks on youtube angering you, dont even look in that direction because most of them that will be angering you probably aint got half a clue about boxing and just got off on the fact that mayweather did more or less exactly to hatton what he said he was gonna do.

You see floyd was fine after it all and these "fans" on youtube are not so there ya go.

Gutting but ricky will be back.

Richie Woodhall on 5live mentioned Cintron just now... But still, Hatton Vs Cintron? Doesn't sound that attractive does it. And there was some premature talk before the fight of DLH vs Hatton, but I don't know how likely that is to happen now.

Yeah, I felt a bit sick seeing Ricky go down too. :(

As for Mayweather being a prat, he just knows when to turn it on and off for the media that's all, like he said, there's always a good guy and a bad guy for each fight and he was the bad guy in this one so he just milked it. I bet he's actually quite a nice guy.
