Lets all agree that Perez was shafted today and would have been great to see him win (despite me hating RBR)
It really frustrates me when idiot drivers at the back influence the results by being incompetent.

Latifi twice and Stroll once, spot the common factor (only there because of daddy's money)

Well Verstappen wouldn't have won without the first vsc, or safety car, the second one screwed Lewis and no one else.
Mercedes screwed Lewis. They should have told him to pit the second Ricciardo slowed to a halt while the pit lane was still open. That was absolute stupidity from them - and it's the third or fourth time they've done similar (being far too slow to react bringing a driver in under SC/VSC) in the last 5 years.

So it only took 2 races and 6/7(?) failed overtakes for Verstappen to finally figure out what was going on. Or maybe he didn't and was told by the pit lane what to do.

0/2 on restarts as well there's a reason drivers don't try and pull up beside the lead driver it was obvious max was going to get pushed wide there

Yep, it was easy to predict following what happened in the f2 sprint race, Merc are never that good at reacting though.

I've also noticed that side of the garage pitstops are SLOW compared to most of the field..

Great race, and echoing a lot of comments it's great to see the new regulations finally let cars follow each other, which obviously leads to better racing.

Leclerc is a classy guy, Max a whiny brat but I dont care one jot. They're both great drivers in closely matched but different cars, it's got potential to be an awesome season

It's obvious he parked it in Sector 1 so Leclerc couldn't overtake Verstappen for the win.

lolz

Anyway, decent race. 2022 shaping up to be a good one!

This race just confirms again my thoughts that F1 is just too much of a lottery all the while we have safety cars where the deltas are not reinstated and pit stops are allowed during. The VSC does not even do the one job it is designed to do properly so that's just failing entirely now as well. How can you tactically prepare for random safety cars in such a technical sport. You can't.

I agree I think pitting under VSC and FSC should be banned.

Not the greatest race.

Feel for Perez. The safety car just swapped him and Max virtually.

Merc having a complete **** show with Hamilton all weekend. I mean seriously what the hell.

Sainz is going to have a horribly boring season of finishing 3rd and watching Leclerc fight for the championship..

Great race.
Leclerc did not give up.
I liked the strategy with the Drs line.
Great battles throughout.

Best start to a season for a while!

Sucks for perez. So unlucky. What is it with latifi changing the results out the front due to lack of talent? :D
