Save it for the black stuff... OcUK Manchester Meet 3

Cool! What time? Mind if I join you?

Daz, only time I'll get to go during the week is at night. Last time I went at night it was pouring down with rain, windy as **** and foggy!

I bottled out at 50mph.

:p

Need 2 bolts for the front suspension struts to go on next weekend (current ones will probably have to get ripped out when I remove the old suspension) and also going to see if they've got any CTS sensors in.

agw is back online (wireless card finally arrived)! PHWAR! Expect near constant updates from now on!

Lopez, that sounds great mate. I've got a bit of work to do to my car before the meet but nothing as major as what you said.

Would be awesome to finally meet you in person. :)

I know what you mean El. There's nothing more annoying than holding the revs at 3000rpm in 2nd gear waiting to come out of a bend to get the power down than hearing a horrible metallic grinding sound.

I think the only way for me to fix mine, is to gut my cat

I'm sure Gilly remembers my expression as I got out of my car and walked towards him.

It was a shocked/almost crying/feeling sick expression :(

But still, it's fixed now and we have to move on. I'm sure MM3 will help him to recover fully ;)

I'm going to be quite on edge though. I'm having my suspension changed the weekend before. Seeing as how I don't have a ball-joint seperating tool, I'm going to have to crack the joint with a hammer :o

just dont hit the top too hard, you'll distort the threads.

infact why are you even removing the ball joints you dont need to

Several people who've changed their suspension have said that they had to... or maybe they were taking about removing the hubs.

Me, paradigm and cymatty all met up for a pre-MM3 meet this afternoon. Was a good little meet, including lots of slating of my car :D I was pushing hard and had cymatty in my view the whole time  Paradigm was long gone though... then we found out that he had no spare tyre. Damn weight saving cheater ;)

Oh, I had my brakes smoking by the end of it! Very scary when I couldn't stop!

The first few corners I was reeling you in... it was only on the straights that I backed off. I didn't do more than 75 along the top road, it was just too twitchy on standard springs.

I had my new suspension in the back of my car :p And so, my step brother weighs 8 stone. :p

Hopefully mine will be that low

Kinda worried when I parked up after the drive and had smoke coming out from the gaps in my wheels! I think I broke my discs :D

Glad you made it home El, I see you took a wrong turning :p

Don't remove them, just keep the hub and lower arm as one.

Oh ok. I was looking at the new shocks and it just seems that they slot into a gap at the bottom near the hub and then bolt into place.

Doesn't look too hard. Cheers Si, will keep that in mind :)

I've ordered some lower shock mounting bolts for the fronts as Nash from RT said they normally have to be broken off.

Oh, got the CTS ;)

edit... :o I'm such a spammer!

Ah sod waiting, here are a couple of shots from the pre-MM3 meet we had today. It was bloody cold out there so we didn't hang around for too long.

At last, my car made it to the meeting spot!

Si's dirty rally schlag!

That exhaust looks a little bent... almost like the owner really!
