Saving Sessions / Demand reduction thread

Importing is a gamble basically.
We have had more sessions this year, if it was last years schedule it probably (I haven't specifically checked) not have paid off.

Thats situationally dependent though, everyone is different.
As my batteries rarely last all day now I just use grid from 5-7pm which is by far the most likely session timing. It generally gets me to cheap charge time or very close now.
It has given me a base usage of just under 1kwh most of the time and its not added any cost to my bill.

Use less power, earn points that you can redeem as credit.

Conversely export if you can, earn even more credit.

It's not going to work well for everyone, and some people won't be able to cut back much, or at all, but for people like me who can export it works well, or people that are willing to shift some usage outside of certain session times.
 
The only thing we have done is push dinner back by 30 mins and we have got ~£10 back. That will pay for ~400 miles of fuel for the EV on the overnight rate. No complaints here.
 
I agree, any money spent goes to their fund for helping people, but I don't really see anything I'd want personally.

Will keep my points as points until the Spring, if no new options appear I'll probably just convert to credit.
