Saving Sessions / Demand reduction thread

I'm surprised there wasn't one today. The demand hit 44GW tonight and gas and coal were making up a good 60% of that. During the three of the last four saving sessions it was 41-42GW and gas/coal were below 55%.
They were tests though. I guess there was no risk to the grid to force a live event.

I see it, it's not doubled though, £2.25 per kWh which is the usual rate I think for these test sessions.

Octopus are paying £2.25 per kWh.

Axle appear to be paying £2.10 @Kill_Phil mentioned in his post.

Edit. to enter Axle price

Yeah my bad didn't read the octopus email fully. They're offering me double based on not having used them yet so looks to be a bespoke offer to new users.

I'm in. Should be able to export 3 and i've a basline of 5.81 showing.

That baseline is high considering your solar etc, have you been using more electric than usual in the saving session times on purpose?

Seems like a risky move as you can't tell if there will be saving sessions or not necessarily, and only the last X days count for it.

Depends, a lot of people can get cheap electric in that period to charge the car, various members on the Camelot forum doing that to bump the baseline up.
