Actually I'm from Pontefract, West Yorkshire. Whether or not the phonetical saying in Yorkshire is Skon or Scone is said, the correct pronounciation is Scone. I don't say Skon, not because I'm trying to be posh, not because, as a Yorkshireman, I think I should uphold the language and say it that way, but I've been brought up to believe and then taught at school that the pronounciation is Scone.

Broad yorkshire is the way to go, the Leeds/Wakefield guys are all a bunch of southern wannabies if you ask me
