The style they've adopted just makes it look like a rip-off of other things. They should have done more work to make it their own, I feel.
Hmm seems a bit pointless though since DS was always marketed as a technology that brings massive game worlds that can change in an instant - Scorn is a spaceship corridor shooter where such a massive game world isn't at play.
So yes, first person puzzle with some shooting, but the fact that there's no HUB or mission markers or anything to guide you, you are thrown right in and figuring it out for yourself. I kinda like that approach.
What troubles me is he mentioned motion blur that doesn't have an off switch, and framerate issues on his 2080 Ti, even with DLSS enabled. Quite possibly an early build as these previews are of a specific demo.
