All Astras could VTO, it was the L part they struggled with.
It would be very tight with practically zero margin for error.

Seems an extreme security measure for an Astra
I doubt it's SORN though. Why would you bother keeping a SORN Astra, it's not like they are even remotely rare or exotic.

The whole front panel looks like its coming away from the frame, so i think the fence just lift up and off
Considering he has a dropped kerb and a driveway though, wouldnt it make sense to have a gate big enough to fit a car through rather than lift a fence panel and block of concrete out every time you need to park up ?

Uh they probably just reverse parked that beetle with a few shunts back and forth, then put a couple of sofa cushions in front of it. I parked my Polo like that between the house wall and the garden wall when it was uninsured and for sale.
Perhaps they had gone on holiday or something and wanted to make a potential thief's life difficult.
I'm guessing it's positioning is the point, and there is indeed a gate just out of picture? If not then I have no idea...

Maybe they are in the forces and go away for months at a time, no point leaving it on the road, taxed.
Update the car has an MOT until October 2019!!

that's one of the newer beetles, so i'd wager the walls on all sides are older than the car is.
