Sounds like it. Post system spec and description of problem in an appropriate hardware forum, and I'm sure someone knowledgeable will help you.mark128 said:Also I dunno if anyone here can help but i've had a very unlucky day with computers. MY athlon 1700xp won't even show a boot screen. It powers up but gives a 3 second intermittant beep and thats it. I think i may have damaged the processor when installing the heatsink.
If you're using dual channel, try testing one stick at a time. If your motherboard allows it, try a small increase in volts (up to 2.75v usually does no harm). Again, post in Memory section for more help.Also on my pentium computer i decided to run memtest and it found hundreds of errors with my brand new ram. I don't know if its a problem with the software, the memory or my motherboard. This computer is working but is producing the odd error now and then.

Find the [wine] section, and change:
"GraphicsDriver" = "x11drv"
to:
"GraphicsDriver" = "ttydrv"

Running SETI@home (or any DC project) on an unstable system is generally a very bad idea.
