Sega Dreamcast

Was such a great machine, Soul Calibur and Crazy Taxi were the two most played games in my collection, I bought up a load of games from eBay when it was dying off and there was little interest.

Finally collected mine from my folks loft a few months ago, not tried it out to see all working but keeping fingers crossed, think my kids might get a kick out of Sega Bass Fishing complete with the rod... :)

I have a 137 strong game collection for the Dreamcast... it's my favorite by far!

It's definitely still my favourite! Great amount you've got.

Oh well you can buy them for £40 quid all day long... But expect to pay £120-150 for a GDEmu or USB-GDROM mod drive and £150 for DCHMI mod chip if you really get into it :D Not to mention £20 to replace the godforsaken fan it has.

Yeah definitely! I'm excited.

Crazy taxi was unreal! Hope they enjoy it.

Yes, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Shuffle, Phantasy Star online, Jet Set Radio, Virtua Cop 2 and Skies of Arcadia.

Sonic adventure was my favourite and jet set was good but I always got stuck on it. It was a bit of a love hate relationship with that one.

I loved the dreamcast only 2nd to the ps1 for me, i used to love playing quake 3 arena online with mouse and keyboard it was my first online gaming experince and also worms world party was a good laugh online aswell. Great memories of it only thing that spoilt it was the big phone bills :-)

wow that's impressive!!!

I am at around the 50-55 mark in my collection

Anyone on the fence on buying a DC or just never have played one....you are missing out. It is the king of the under-rated consoles! If one comes up at sensible money, which is getting rarer.....do it!

Some games still look amazing even today especially if you buy a VGA adaptor for them. Dead or Alive 2 is a spectacular version.

I still play MVC2, Daytona 2001, Ferrari F355, PowerStone 2, Skies of Arcadia, MSR, SNK Vs Capcom, Crazy Taxi, Vanishing Point, Soul Calibur quite regularly

Reminds me......I need to find another copy of Fighting Vipers 2

sold mine now

but the highlight for me was reserving it whilst i worked at Electronics Boutique and Buying Soul Caliber and playing that a very long time, i got rather good at at back then, brilliant game

I love my Dreamcast I had something like 35 games two pads vmus. Shenmue was my favourite game but also loved sonic adventure, virtua athlete, chu chu rocket, ufc and many others

You almost always hear the same story with the DC, that people mostly bought it for one game a lot of the time......normally Soul Calibur.

The console had a "good" catalogue of games but never "great" in Europe. The reason was made the a massive proportion were pretty NTSC-J only. I think the total released games was around 600-650 worldwide and EU/USA made up just over 200!!!! of that number.

Don't get me wrong the UK catalogue was far from weak but at the same time it was missing so much!....and as much as we look now and go "ughhhhh" about them.....Sega never l reached an agreement which in those days was a bad, bad sign and what some people blame for being a nail in the coffin at release. I believe the reason was because they wanted a caviat in place in any contract that they would be the ONLY sports games franchise on the console, and they got close to getting it!

I own an import boot CD and have started collecting import games and there are some absolute corkers aswell as the "real" versions of some of the UK releases such as Sega Rally 2 and Virtua Fighter 3TB which when running in NTSC mode lose all of their borders and get stabilised frame rates....most importantly the escort Cossie is back in Sega Rally!!!

I could ramble on for days about this console .....sorry lol
