Sega Rally Revo PC

still cant change keyboard settings on the launcher - and sound always defaults to software, even though when I turn it to HD sound it works fine

Also crashes regularly (ie gets stuck on one frame of a track, sometimes audio continues sometimes it just repeats until you kill Windows - and my mouse doesnt work on the second screen I have to use tsk manager shortcut as is occasionally useful in CM Rally)

Otherwise its a great game

mine crashes after a while with hardware audio.......just use software and see if that helps.

At 1680x1050, 2xMSAA/16xAF, all high, SM3.0, hd2900xt, is 48fps average about right?

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
6181, 111275, 46, 75, 55.547

1680x1050, 4xMSAA, SM3.0, no AF, all high.

Seem abit low, anyone else with a 2900 to confirm performance?.

My install still crashes every few minutes - with audio on hardware or software and with DX installed from the disc its getting really annoying tbh

Otherwise I really like the game (physics are great and horrendous however - with mud and water brilliant but some things stop the car dead when they shouldnt)

Im being severely put off this game just because of the crashing - it just happens wayyyy too much

Mine plays fine, no hassles at all, must be something wrong with your system to make it crash.

No there isnt - I do this for a living :D

No other game crashes on me (incl Dirt etc) only Rally repeatedly crashes

No hardware or software conflicts and evreything is fully installed

has anybody found a solution to the stuttering using a 8800gtx, have tried it on 2 systems with same effect.
If you restart a race it goes away for that race then the next race back to square one makes it un playable.
Have trawled net to find lots of people with same fault but only seems to be on the 8800gtx.

would be grateful if anybody finds a working solution or fix.

System hung once when bro was playing on it last weekend. Crashed today when played final race with mate online 9th track it was. But was gona stop playing then anyhow as we both had enough for that session. Arms tired after using wheel for 30 mins lol.

i have a problem, for some reason when i use my wheel (logitech formula force) the camera in game isnt right, it sticks to the boot of my car so cant see the side when drifting and makes the game feel weird n harder to control. If i use keyboard the handling is normal.

Anyway got a fix cos i like then game when the handling is normal :) but dont like using keyboard! :(
I don't know of any fix for the rear-view camera, but you should really use the bonnet-view or cockpit-view when playing with a wheel. It feels much more natural, and when you get used to it you'll improve on your keyboard + rearview times.

have you installed the patch ? i know its 1 of the first things to check for when you run into problems but im just asking incase it wasnt out then....also try using a cracked exe........they usually work wonders.

I've only just realised that this game hasn't been released in the U.S yet.(Not until the 16th October)
Hoping there will be more players on-line then.Keep racing the same 5 people.

By the way the game runs great all maxed out aswell;) been waiting for a good arcade racer for a while, and i think this is the one.:p

Its bizzare how it runs fine for some and not for others, only prob i get is the occasional stuttering, yet fraps shows 90+ fps.

I set the draw ahead distance in the nvidia drivers from 3 frames to 1 and that does seem to have helped, tried 0 as some suggest but it wouldnt load up.

This is on a quad [email protected] and a 8800gtx as well.

I have the stuttering problem, it doesn't go away at 800x600 lowest either so it's not the gfx card :/

quad [email protected] & GTS320 with 2gb all patched up. game is fine except when panning around the cars.

bobby are you on XP or vista? I'm dual booting atm so tempted to install it in XP and see if it's any better

Didn't enjoy the demo on my PS3 but I'm going to try it on the PC. Loved the original Sega Rally games but that demo just felt nothing like a Sega classic and reminded me of Dirt with a different HUD :)

Certainly installed a patch a while ago (at work currently so not sure if its THE patch :D) but it still stutters and crashes - will try the nvidia fix when I get home to see if that helps
