Sega Rally Revo PC

yes .. been on the Console thread discussing SR for a while now, but glad to see people are enjoying the PC version too :D

That's a great job to have. What nature of role do you have at SRS mate ? Any jobs going ? ;) I'm happy to start out as a "Junior Refreshment Engineer" l (read: tea boy!).

I love the game, it's everything I hoped for from an arcade racer and it remains faithful to the Sega Rally name.

The only quibble I do have is the game BSOD's when running Hardware sound. Software emulation runs fine though, this is with an Audigy 4 card with latest XP drivers. (dxdiag showing full acceleration for sound).

Si.

Just been playing the demo.

Looks great and plays great just like the classic Sega Rally. Love the effects, add to the gameplay.

might be a funny question, but how come you can see the side of your car when drifting ? i know this is normal in most driving games for but me in Sega Rally the camera seems to be suck to the rear of the car, all i ever get to see is the boot which makes it as if the car is sliding about rather than steering and makes it hard to steer

anyone else having problems running the launcher part of this game, i can run the main program fine, but the launcher fails everytime, which means i cant adjust graphics settings or sort out controls for my DFP a tad annoying, have tryed installing several times now, same happens every time.

dissapointing to say the least, i reckon if i could get things set up i'd quite enjoy the game, it looks quite good and was a laugh even if i did have to play with keyboard and tiny resolution, but until i can get things set up i wont be touching the game agian.

anyone having this issue, heard of anyone having this issue or have any ideas for a solution?

This install was literally just done with the latest patch (4.06 I think)

ohhh I am having real problem with the controller part of the launcher, cant adjust keyboard settings at all - otherwise its a great game

dunno how you lot can say its like the original, the cars in the original handled really well, in this they all feel like xxxx!! Almost wept a tear when i played this, so disappointed!! :(

Love this game the more i play it the more i want to play it more. :)

Patch i think has made steering a bit easier tho i cant pinpoint where. Its great as well using my momo racing wheel it just ROCKS!!

Great job sega you pulled a great game out of the hat. :D

I think i need to be Colin Mcrae (god rest his sole !) to get first position on some of the tracks in this game. Some i can do easy, others are stupidly hard

Haven't played the arcade version for over 11 years, so can't remember how it "felt", but this new one is nice and arcadey. Exactly what I was hoping for.

i have a problem, for some reason when i use my wheel (logitech formula force) the camera in game isnt right, it sticks to the boot of my car so cant see the side when drifting and makes the game feel weird n harder to control. If i use keyboard the handling is normal.

Anyway got a fix cos i like then game when the handling is normal :) but dont like using keyboard! :(

still cant change keyboard settings on the launcher - and sound always defaults to software, even though when I turn it to HD sound it works fine

Also crashes regularly (ie gets stuck on one frame of a track, sometimes audio continues sometimes it just repeats until you kill Windows - and my mouse doesnt work on the second screen I have to use tsk manager shortcut as is occasionally useful in CM Rally)

Otherwise its a great game

Have you installed the direct X that is supplied on the DVD, even if you think you have the latest it adds a few files. Might possibly sort your audio out but might not.
Unfortunetly at present there is noway to change the default keyboard keys, hopefully we can in the next patch if indeed there is going to be another.
