OP, just walk away, he was just being cocky. Based on that fact, if you'd have started, you'd have probably got your arse whooped.

As for the being set alight....unless you stand nice and still while he holds it to your clothes, you really aren't going to catch fire....

Yes been there

I being 16 stone and of large build beat the crap out of 1 chap whom tried something like this on me.
I then had to beat his chum up as well as he came to defend his dick wad mate.
Although they started on me I got a suspended sentence for 6 months.
I must say though, breaking his nose and jaw and his chum having a broken arm did sort of even it up.
Now being a good citizen I would just ignore it..... as much as I could that is.

It's not about being alpha chaps, it's about protecting your wife.
Trust me you would have done the same, trying to grab the wifes boobs sort of done it for me.
 
Don't worry Tim mate - I've had a similar situation earlier this year when someone wanted to pull me out of my car - I won't bother going through the story again, but needless to say he came off worse than me... fortunately the police didn't press charges. Being bigger than your average runt does help ;)
 
With people like this 9 times out of 10 you just need to learn to be more confident. If you look like you lack confidence they will pick on you to make themselves look tough.
