Senna

Seen it about a mth ago...decent docu/movie on the legend that was Senna....an absolute must see for fans of him...personally i never liked him much but on the other hand he was a great racer, whose life was tragically cut short.

"When Senna made that final high speed exit from the race it fell to his friend and F1 safety delegate Sid Watkins to make the initial prognosis. Only hours before both he and Senna had spoken together about Ratzenberger's death.

Watkins said: "He [Senna] looked serene. I raised his eyelids and it was clear from his pupils that he had a massive brain injury. We lifted him from the cockpit and laid him on the ground. As we did, he sighed and, although I am totally agnostic, I felt his soul depart at that moment." "

Don't think I'll go to the pics to see this, but look forward to seeing it on DVD, as a Mansell fan I hated Senna at the time, that changed when I stood at the old hairpin at donnington and watched him race, I'll never forget those first few corners.

Went to see this earlier - luckily the Arts cinema was showing it. Really enjoyed it. It could perhaps have done with some more clips of him racing, but I thought it was very successful in giving you a sense of who he was and his life in Motor Racing.

Probably going to make me sound like a wet lettuce but I don't think I'm going to be able to watch this without shedding the odd tear.

Yeah, I certainly welled up a little at the end.

Kermode said this was good, and quite frankly it's good enough for me :)

Massive fan of him and Mayo's film reviews even if I don't agree with them all :p

Will be nipping to my local indie cinema next to see this bad boy, I have no interest at all in F1.
