Oh yes it was upgrade day - its in and running now - cant believe how hot it runs - very very scary, case temps have jumped 30C :mad: so I have backed off my oc on the 470 a little bit..
Haven't been able to get any new work, so will have to do with 700 wu's and I cant reschedule any more units and boinc wont request any more either - will run out some time Thurs night or Fri morning...
Wont hurt to let the new card bed in I s'pose, but I wanted to give it a baptism of fire :p
 
Lol sounds like a baptism of fire is what you might have had if the temps went any higher, at least you dont have to sit and listen to 100% fan speed day and night :)
 
thanks toxic- will give a yell after i get home tonight and try and see if the 295 and 260 will boot up on a 700W.
i dont see how these PSUs (yours and mine) are SLI ready when realistically you need 4 of those dang pcie connectors. I suppose they come from an age when graphics cards were powered by one connector....
 
If Mr Grimgoth doen't want the PSU, I could make use of it.:)

Kolala if Mr Grimgoth does not want it your welcome, let him do his calaculations and see will let you know this evening, hey if your in my neck of the woods theres 2 cases here you might be able to use- nowt fancy but useable, give me half hour will put a few pics up.:)
 
Mr Kolala, 1st case is a small one new never used and has a 400watt psu with it pic 1 +2.
3, 4 and 5 no mobo inc (mm) needs a bit of tlc but is a sound case with decent amount of room and a card reader inc was in use upto a few weeks ago.

well, the upgrades done, everything is working well, 3 GPU wu's on the go on this machine, so my PSU held up, its yours kolala :)
I am going to try and hold off Reaver's and Toxic's advancement on my position with this extra 295, my last upgrade (really!) for a while.

I just splashed out on a 480 in an effort to catch and stomp you and now I find you have gone and bought a 295 :eek:
Back to the drawing board it is then - at least it is good for the team :p

Yup you should as well as helping out someone who does need what your not using you'd be suprised how much better you feel once the clutter starts dissapearing :).

I know theres a price check thing on mm but i prefer to rely on the info round here, how much should i ask for Acer S243HL 24" Widescreen LED Monitor - Black 3 yr warranty bought ocuk in april with receipt oc still have it up for 254?

Cheers, been completing the last of my units this week. Gotten totally sick of the servers going down on Tuesday till Friday afternoon, then the network connection being maxed out till night and only getting about a day's worth of work before the servers crash on Saturday only to be restarted on Monday and download another day or 2 of work before the outage begins again.

My hardware is not suited to seti really as I only have a single GPU so my resources are going back into folding@home for now (god I love those bigadv units :D). Keep up the good work guys, perhaps a few members can pool their resources to take on the poor tea brewer :D
