Musical cells, i'm not even going to look it will give me a headache.
Well i must admit i've bought enough hardware since i joined in feb/march to feel qualified in making a complaint to ocuk.
I won't bore everyone with the details but most of you have been witness to my disasters and i think enough is enough, am tired of paying full whack for things and not getting what i pay for.
It started with my first order and multiple instances of, marked cases, dodgy ssd, 6 pics to show the extent of the last case hassle. Ok i must admit i did fair better this time, 1 out of 2 ramp 3 boards do work.
Theres a known issue with insufficient compound on the chipsets giving a i.o.h error (temperatures rocket to 99 degrees within a minute of boot upthen auto shutdown).
A lot of people like myself with the second board dont want to get caught in an endless rma loop. Demand seems to exceed supply so there will be a wait for a replacement, there again some people have been removing the heat pipe assembly and appling a better thermal paste, but there in lies the problem - warranty would be void instantly.
Have made the call and will be calling back monday afraid i am not going to let it rest. So by all means you can all jump on me for being a whinger but how am i supposed to carry on contributing to the team when i upgrade or try to better myself if i get problems like this??
After the learning curve i was hoping it would be a little bit more relaxed but i keep getting held back by what seems to be in most cases either poor quality control as in marked/damaged goods, or hardware faults that are not of my own making.
Hopefully there will be some management about monday and spie might be around fingers crossed something good comes from this and not more game vouchers
