SETI@home News Vol. 116 (19/09/2010)

**Edit** I think this is one for Mr Berserker, trying to follow the link to join or create account lhc page brings up this error

You thunk right - good catch! The project URL was wrong in the LHC database, so all but one of the links to the official site was broken. Poked the correct URL in and it's all good now.

Thank you Mr Berserker! will go ahead and do the honours this eve now all we need is seti to pop back up so we can upload existing work, at least there's no outage this week :D

cpartcert1.php

Still no signs of life in those servers, c'mon already :(

Is LHC back in business these days then? I gave up with them a couple of years ago when they stopped handing out units except on Feast Days.

Nothing has changed really, it handed out a load of work last month, and since then - nothing. Probably won't get any more until next summer now
I just leave it on, and if I get work it is a bonus...

Makes no odds in the great scheme of things, the teams charging ahead and were all making a hell of an effort....should be a few team stomps coming up...and a few big stomps for you too :D

Yeah i allways get a bit nervous when he goes quiet, it usually means he's upto something :)

**Edit** Fingers crossed looks like someones fiddling with seti it's down completely now :)

Wish they'd get it sorted, i've got a mountain of units stacked up to go back...

Which post's that? The only message I can see on the home page is their usual 'Every Tuesday morning (Pacific time) we begin a 3 day data distribution outage to blah blah blah', but I may well have missed one.

I rarely get this eager or excited, definately on a par with christmas and tax returns.

"Standing Outage Notice: Every Tuesday morning (Pacific Time) we have a regular 3-4 hour outage for database backup (and other system maintenance). Most servers and web site functions will be off during these outages.

[As of 28 Sep 2010 15:20:07 UTC]

Thats promising only a 3-4hour outage....oh gawd am more confused than ever:D
