SETI@home News Vol. 122 (06/02/2011)

depends on your OS, mine on XP is in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BOINC\projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu

Thanks I will check there when I get home, that does kind of ring a bell as well, I know it's somewhere as boinc finds it on start up! It's on windows 7.

I have a few units crunching the first I have had for a while

Edit: Sorted all running as normal, Just waiting for the work to trickle through :)

Finally after a complete reinstall of drivers, boinc and lunatics, I now have both my 460s crunching 2 tasks each and not binning them after 20 secs :)

Congrats on the tiffy's Mr Pnutty Mr Marine and Mr Halz sahs :)

Sorry there has been no output from me but had a very bad week.
Thought my friend in Preston had the flu thought i would go over and check on him as he just wasn't right. Turned up to find a friend i hardly recognised he'd lost 3 stone in 8 weeks, took one look and after the shock took him straight to hospital.
Turns out he has the big "C" and there's not a lot that can be done, so TBags little world has changed beyond recognition just informing family and friends/taking care of the house and getting the place ready for him to come home. They're going to try various pain controls meds before discharge, there will be help like nurses but after all he's done for me and been the best friend i ever had i owe him this at the very least.

Will be making arrangements to haul all my gear over here in the next week or two but am afraid for now i won't be able to contribute a sausage!

Rest assured i aint forgot about my crunching and folding but naturally my priority has to be my mate. Once i have my gear over i can set about rattling towards the number 1 spot.

There's no way i would give up my crunching and whatnot permanently i desperately need it going to keep my sanity intact (arguably allready sadly lacking ;) ).....especially with an sr2 and the internals sat in a box doing nowt....
I will be back stronger than ever and ..... well i miss you guys :(

Lets not beat about the bush chaps if i bounce back from this i won't settle for anything less than number 1....might even take on a little extra folding to keep Mr Biffa worried ;)

Happy crunching and folding guys will stick my neck in on a regular basis ;)

I wouldn't even worry about your output at a time like that doesn't even come close to the possibility of losing a person you care about :(

All the best mate, Hope you are back when the times ready, Slacker  :p :D :)

Sorry to hear about that :(, sounds like you are doing everything you can, see you back whenever you are ready. :)

Cheers guys, you wouldn't believe how much a few kind words can help. Have never been through something like this before and while it might sound a bit peculiar opening your heart on a forum it is helping me get used to stuff.
I wil need to throw myself at something at some point in the future and crunching/folding fits the bill, as manic as you know me normally am sure i will be rocket fuel powered when i get back to sinking my teeth in ;)
Thanks guys ...

I've been away for a few days so not seen this up until now. Sorry to hear about your friend Toxic, and like Marine says, don't even begin to think about your output at the moment.
