A fantastic week for rac placing us 6th in the world well done all round peeps nice one.

The week started with a seti outage that seems to have righted itself lets hope its few and far between.

The stats are a bit messed up so feel free to ignore the stomp clocks. The news has been a pain in the butt this week, had 3 machine restarts then odd goings on with excel etc then to top it off i just realised its thursday and not friday

Am calling the news short this week as i am in a right paddy with me machine and its gonna get the grand order of the boot if i cannot get it right asap.

Will be interesting to see if we keep up the RAC in this hot weather. The temps in my man cave are getting unbearable to the point I have considered shutting down my 470 rig. Only while I undertake rain dancing and start looking around for aircon units of course

Sorted out SETI cuda problem, found it was a corrupt driver file.
Please mark me as GPU assisted [ though not full time]

Had a couple of Rosetta units die on me but they keep running

After a mention fro Hanluc have given Correlizer a go: short units ~8mins for circa 5 pts but they run 5c hotter & project will run all wu to the exclusion of other projects but not at high priority So have to manually start them.
Another project to add to the stats?

This w/e is Ivybridge upgrade time So with a modest o/c to about 4.4-4.5GHz once I'm sure its stable I'll have a lovely boost to the ppd

Nice upgrade sah, i know you do a lot of different projects and would like to ask the following.
I know seti uses cpu/gpu and the like and rosetta uses cpu but its been that long what about milkyway and einstein? if yourself or anyone else can spare a few minutes to do a quick list for me then i can go ahead and figure out how/what prefferences to set to share the time. In particular is it just the stock apps as in join and crunch or is there summat fiddly to do like gpu share instances etc
Would be really greatfull chaps

I can stick the cpu/gpu info against each project when i do the news too so it would be helpfull

Einstein - CPU and GPU. Stock apps only. Einstein now has an option in the preferences where you can choose to run two WUs per GPU, but to do any more you might still need to use a custom app_info file. Einstein used to be nVidia only, although I think they now have an ATI client. Also, GPU tasks use a little of the CPU so that might be something to bear in mind.

Milkyway - CPU and GPU. Stock apps only. The GPU needs to be able to do double-precision maths in order to receive GPU work. This thread gives a list of compatible cards, though it is a little out of date so the most recent cards may or may not be included. I believe ATI cards to be far quicker than comparable nVidia ones.

Collatz Conjecture - CPU and GPU. Stock apps only. Both ATI and nVidia cards are supported but ATI are quicker.

Now i need to figure out which settings to use for seti as in home/work so at the least the gpus are running 75% of the time for that and 50% of the cpus are split ... should be fun but at least wc temps are holding up well 54 degrees not really needed to switch the sircon on for any length of time ..... just a complete rebuild to do at the weekend and i should start clawing back some ground
