Settling an argument with a Don

Settle an argument for me. Me and Andrew Moore were discussing the virtues of Cheese and Beans on Toast this afternoon. I go for the tried and tested method of Toast, then Cheese, Melt Cheese then put beans on top.

He goes for Toast, Beans then cheese on top then back under the grill. Quite obviously, he is a not right but which is the best way to do it??

I am thinking if you put the beans under the grill you are going to end up with burnt beans.

toast << beans << cheese << Lea & Perrins.

It goes like this:
1. Lightly toast bread
2. Cook bacon
3. Place bacon on toast
4. Place cheese slabs over bacon
5. Melt cheese using grill
6. Throw beans all over top.

Now that, is cheesy beans SURPRISE! ;)

Make cheese on toast as normal, put hot beans on top.

The beans are a simple garnish in this kind of case, the core dish is cheese on toast.

edit: it's cheese on toast with beans, not beans and cheese on toast...

Toast, then beans, then cheese (grated Orkney cheddar), then Worcester Sauce. Anything else is madness! (except maybe the addition of a fried egg on the top for special occasions ;) )

Put the beans in a pan, add brown sauce, sweet chilli sauce, cheese, black pepper and a dash of ketchup. Pour onto 2 slices of generously buttered thick toast, sprinkle more grated cheese on and then devour.

Do not knock it until you've tried it, it's absolute win.

Noted down*, got a bit of sweet chilli sauce left and a lot of brown sauce.

Will come back to you.

*Just in case you delete the thread ;)

Toast, butter, heat up beans until piping hot, sprinkle grated cheese (melts easier)

If you are feeling wild then add some tuna mayo.
