Severance

Then they wonder why people lose interest in shows...

Granted the production on shows these days is often significantly more complex than 20 years ago.
Plus it was hit by the Hollywood strikes mid filming of season 2.

I'm really looking forward to this. I worry it might suffer from series 2 fatigue that many other series have. Been watching Temple on Netflix, series 1 was very good but series 2, the quality dropped quite a bit.

It had an extremely novel, refreshing premise, which took a while to fully be revealed, and held the audience for that reason. But a lot of series tend to pieter out once the reveal has taken place, such as westworld.

So it'll be interesting if season 2 shows us that there is a lot more still unknown.

Didn't really enjoy this episode. No idea what is going on aside from Helly is a plant. Huge let down considering the explosive ending of S1.

Will be interesting to see the reveals as the show goes on, but we have seen the battle between the innies and the outies through S1, so I hope this isn't a rehash of S1 which gets dragged out to a cliffhanger leading into S3!

I agree, it didn't feel like much of a continuation of season 1 and more of a reset.

I think I'm going to wait and watch it once they release all the episodes. I bet some episodes are going to be very slow.

Working through S1 slowly, but while kind of fun think more background info actually needed on what Limon are up to. Are the staff actually doing anything productive in their workspaces or is it all just some grand behavioural experiment.

As regards "severance", well I guess it avoids people having to sign a NDA!

Get the feeling that this is all misdirection to kick things off.
Me too, I suspect next weeks episode will show us what is happening on the outside to the "outties". Still annoying though. If it was Disney or Prime they would have probably dropped 2 episodes at once, but Apple religiously stick to 1 episode a week!

Nah, that's one of the draws, the talk about what they are actually doing - if anything. To give that reveal so early would be silly.

S1 was awesome - you really wanted to see more, but as mentioned earlier, S2 ep 1 and the 'reset' was a damp squib :( Hoping next episode is better.

Not the strongest start to s2, but it was good to see the cast back and Tramell Tillman still has the same aura from s1 that makes him uneasy to watch.

I felt like the first series was a slow burner that gradually did it's thing - plenty of time. I don't really "do" theories but some of the stuff I've seen thrown out there is just...wild

I would like to see some more of a backstory with Milchick though - as far as characters go, there's literally nothing.

Ep 2 was much better - imo.

Although we are 2 episodes in and all ep 2 did was explain ep and pick up where S1 ended! Although we did get a few insights into what they are doing at Lumon ie Cold Harbour - it seems there is an end goal to the innies work.

Strangely I don't seem that interested in season 2 now it has actually dropped despite really looking forward to it after watching season 1, I think the delay even though I was relatively late to the first season has diluted my anticipation and recaps don't really rekindle that (and I usually skip them anyhow).
