Shamima Begum: Runaway IS bride to find out if she can return to UK

Hard to see how she's been hard done by, although I have some sympathy because of her original age when she left.
Pretty sure the courts would have overturned her revocation if there had been any chance whatsoever it was illegal.

True, you would think the indoctrination and grooming into that cult would garner a bit more sympathy, just look at all the islamofascists in these disruptions and anti israeli protests, they're not being deported are they.

Look at these clowns for example.....

Why do people talk about radicalisation like it's some unfortunate thing that is bestowed upon you and you have no will in it? Like being pooed on by a bird or something. If you abstract radicalisation enough it's just believing in ideas that aren't mainstream, including extremist ideologies. I'm sure there were plenty of people in this country who were fed IS propaganda when they were starting off, and most people would have seen it for what it is and decided they want no part in it. People, including 15 year olds, have sense, agency and their own will. When she was exposed to some of this stuff, her first reaction wasn't revulsion, it was "I want to see more".

10000s of people have read Mein Kampf and don't want to be a nazi. Just because you're exposed to propaganda doesn't mean you're forced to believe it. So I find the tone around when people say 'she was radicalised' as if it was forced on her as just silly. She would have been interested and wanted to know more.

That shop was under attack because it refused to stop selling Pepsi btw...
Mirban, a close friend of the owner, said the protestors gathered outside the shop to demand the boycott of Coca-Cola.

According to Friends Of Al-Aqsa, a UK-based NGO: 'Coca-Cola operates on stolen Palestinian land and is therefore directly profiting from Israel's illegal occupation and apartheid in Palestine.'

Mirban told the FtLion that the mob were saying on loud speaker that 'they sell coke from underneath the counter and we've warned them multiple times'.

He added how members from the rowdy crowd - who he believed to be 'predominantly Muslim' - were threatening to stop them selling the product.

This is despite Salah's reportedly removing the product 'two months ago', he said.

The friend described the group as 'cowards', made up of 'some women who shouted abuse'.

It was at this point that the 'men came forward and carried out an attack' like 'the cowards that they were'.

He said: 'He was defending his business. They've approached on to his business and carried out the assault outside the shop,' during which the 'owner was hurt and suffered stitches to his lip'.

It's already started the cancelling western corporations by force of mob
listen to this clown going on about another shop in the same city of Bradford

Multiculturalism is just people bringing their problems here, not them adopting our society and enjoying a nice relaxed western lifestyle as best their religion permits

Next will be religious police like in Iran, Afghanistan etc, give it 10-20 years

Because how else? What is the alternative? She watched an ISIS hypnosis video and did it against her will? A mind virus? What?

No, she would have had something shown to her, and she would have wanted to see more. And away it goes.
if only radicalisation was as easy as you suggest. would make deradicalisation so much easier.

edit: actually i will bite - how do you know she wanted to see more. how do you know the process that was invloved?

I'm not gonna bother with this. If you think that it's something that you have no 'will' over, and like I said it's like being pooed on by a bird, you just got a bit unlucky and got radicalised. Ah, what a shame, it's not your fault, come back you poor little dove.

Then I am not gonna even bother trying to argue with you.

never once said that. never once suggested it was a come back all is forgiven you poor little dove. you're just getting silly now because you think radicalisation only happens to bad people who want to be radicalised.

good. because as pointed out you're arguing from a position of ignorance.

What was the worst she did? sew a few suicide vests together? who hasnt?

If ISIS was still going strong then she would be in with them still happy as larry, unfortunately she choose to be a traitor and joined the losing side.

Now wishes to return to her easy way of life after blowing up her bridges

True, but once you start adding abstract concepts like faith and divine power into the mix, distorting the perceptions of a person with an already deep system of beliefs in the subject is probably much easier.

The fact is now we are talking about a 25 year old woman living in an IS detention centre with some very dangerous people after her chosen state failed.

If you were the hot topic and the target of such widespread hatred, would you really want to come back and live amongst the people who so passionately dislike you or is life so much easier here thanks to weak policy?

“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”

coulda been refused purely because her life would be in danger here and the government could not guarantee her protection.

Simples.
