Shaving

I only shave once a week but I proably spend close to an hour preparing/shaving and showering, really making a big thing about. You feel class afterwards.

I really think shaving is one of those things where technology etc has actually had a negative effect on on shaving.

Snap, i spend about an hour in the bath having my weekly shave. It does feel great when your done :)

Yes it has a high start up cost but as IceAx said the blades are pennies compared to pounds. So over the long run (and your shaving most days for most of your life remember) your going to save loads.

If your looking to get into shaving with DE razors. Gillete does a "classic" razor pack which has a DE razor and 5 blades for £5. Perfect for getting started.

I do not shave, I trim :D In truth though, I shace part of my face, once or twice a week, and trim the rest as I have a beard!

Merkur + Treet Platinum or 7 am Platimun + Badger brush + Sandal wood soap = W1N

EDIT: ATM im a lazy once a week man :D

Recently switched to a Merkur and have been using Wilky sword DE blades, as thats all I can get locally. Are other blades worth sourcing??

Every other day for me. Gillette blue II disposables and Gillette foam.

It's annoying though. I'd love an electric one that got close.

Its worth trying other blades. I got a selection pack and you can tell *** difference between blades for sure!

Feathers are generally seen as the best / sharpest blades.
