Shevchenko to leave...?!?

Milan claim they rejected an offer of £70m from Real Madrid, just before they signed Zidane: http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/may13g.html . The Telegraph also claim that Milan pay him £115,000 p/w.

What interests me is that last season Mourinho was saying that he thought Adriano was the best striker in the world and that he thought that he would be a dominant player for years to come. However, Chelsea's interest in him seems to have diminished.

If you truely belive that Gatusso is as bad as you make out then i have to question wether you even watch football enough to comment. :o
He runs around like a headless chicken most of the time. The only good things about him are his passion and stamina.

So you dont watch football then?

You can not like the bloke. You can hate his antics at times. But one thing you cannot argue against is his ability.

Gattuso is one of those rarity's in modern football, an out and out battler. I dont think he is world class though simply for the fact that he doesn't exert as much influence as Vieira or Keane did for example. Thats not to say I dont think hes a good player, he would add steel to any team.

If Chelsea sign Ballack, Shevshenko and Tevez we might as well hand them the premier league title. :/
Firstly i doubt they will sign both Sheva and Tevez, pretty sure JM said he wanted 1 striker, 1 midfielder and 1 defender. Ballack won't particuarly improve there side as i'll be suprised if Ballack and Lampard will play together (well not in there favoured posistion). And iirc when Man Utd signed Veron and RVN everyone was saying the same thing with Man Utd having 2 sides; 1 for the league and 1 for Europe and what did they win? Nothing

Good point regarding Veron etc, is it just me or does anyone else get the idea Chelsea only want him because Manchester United were intrested? Probably totally wrong but Peter Kenyon always makes me think otherwise

I don't think he's being daft, if Chelski actually get a class striker, like Schevchenko, they'll be way harder to stop than the last two seasons.

Chelsea didn't have a dip, Liverpool did and Man Utd had an incredible number of injuries. If Man Utd and Liverpool didn't have problems either of them could (and probably would) have won the league this season.
Also, Arsenal are coming good and Spurs are getting better, whilst I don't believe Spurs are capable of winning the league, they are more than capable of giving any of the top teams a game.

Chelsea will not be invincible. Similar thing happened to Madrid. There was a time when everyone thought they couldn’t be stopped. The turning pint I think was when Ronaldo came. Everyone thought that was the icing on the cake…

It happens with every team:
AC Milan
Man Utd
Liverpool
Ajax
Real Madrid

Those are just a few who have dominated in the past. Domination doesn't last forever.

i think man utd are going to be harder for chelsea to compete with next year,

i cant see man utd winning the league, it will depend on who they get for their not so good midfield, but if they buy right... i think chelsea will struggle if not failr to make it 3times in a row.

doubt liverpool can be classed as serious title contenders for next season... but cant see them being out of the top3 anymore...

its going to be really interesting next season.... because its hard to see why arsenal shouldnt be higher than 4th next year.

its down to arsenal/man utd/liverpool to buy well... because chelsea dont need to buy well as they can buy anyone.

man utd really need to fill their hole in midfield though, gattuso/graveson/reo coker/carrick....

i thought ballack was going to end up at man utd before last season.. but things cant be predicted in football :p

and personally i think smith and rooney up front would work really well... smith is wasted in midfield...

but really i dont care as all i care about is seeing kuyt in a black and white shirt

Odd that a Newcastle fan should comment on our "nothing" midfield... in a season where they were unable to score past us or even get a point :p.
