sure. maybe next season he will be the real deal. do you remember zidanes first season at real madrid?

Sure Evra could become decent, but I doubt he'll get a game anyway as he'll be 3rd choice left back

2) He should go (ONLY if we had someone decent lined up mind :))

And I did have a bit of hope that both Utd and L'pool stood a fightings chance at making next seasons Premiership race closer but after Chelski signing Ballack & Sheva, we don't stand a cat in hells chance :( UNLESS fergie pulls something magic out of the bag with his summers signings - which I doubt.

what may come as a suprising move to the long time regulars on here but I want him to stay.

now comes the reasoning.

although he has been woeful in the transfer market of late, seems determined to get rid of the best goalscorer in the club and heaps praise on worthless cack like fletcher etc he has built a team with considerable talent and promise.

Now at present time I think we still have a chance next year be it a slim one with the current squad, however if we manage to sign 2 decent central midfielders (ala Diarra / gattuso even Van bommel) and a couple of squad plaers (Pennant etc etc) we will be in a fantastic position for next season, sure we wont have the in depth squad of the likes of chelsea but pound for pound the first team would be a match for anyone.

So at the present time Im going to say he should stay, but that is based solely on seeing who he brings in during the summer.

as the summer draws to a close if we are in the same position with no new signings then I think it will be time for him to go.

Ive read the thread and was hovering over the reply button but instead of
ranting im just going to agree with Memph

Its easier that way :)

I think he should go. He seems determined to get rid of the best goalscorer at the club. I've nothing against Saha, who always plays his heart out, I just don't like the style we play when he's in the time. It's too much long balls down the channels for him to chase.

If axing Fergie means keeping Ruud, then it'll be worth it. His form was affected at the end of the year but when the manager treats you like dirt, it's not likely to inspire you is it? We're 2 players short of a championship squad. Gattusso would be a great signing. He's tenacious but he's got the discipline to do the DM role, add someone like Riquelme to the mix so we can get Giggs back on the wing supplying crosses and Ruud and Rooney would be laughing. Defensively we're stronger than we've been for years. Heinze'll be back, Brown and Vidic will be battling for a spot and hopefully Bardsley will start to make his breakthrough into the team.

Quick question, for the people who arn't fans and want him to stay.

Is that because you dont want us to do well with him or think he can genuinly turn us around again?
I attempted to answer having put aside my hatred for a) the man and b) the club. I'd love to see him **** up further, so I can see why people might vote that way.

chelsea didnt do much better though did they ?
Chelsea is a fairly new team though isn't it? With a relatively new manager.

Taggart shouldn't have any new players really. They should all be truly bedded in by now.

chelseas second season in the CL though and with the players they have signed and money spent i dont think its really a case of bedding in. it was there seconds season under the same manager and most of the backbone of the squad had been there for longer than 2 seasons.

every team has new players each and every season, this year we had huge trouble in the middle of the park and dont forget for the most part of the seaosn bad iinjury problems, but im not excusing our performance for a team of our stature it wa sa shocking performance in europe.

This thread is about Taggart though, and it was easy to see 4 years ago that the replacements needed bringing in then if there wasn't going to be a dip in fortunes.

i voted couldnt give a monkeys

i dont really think he should go, although they were awful in the CL they impressed me in the league. as said before it would have been close between them and liverpool if it wasnt for the ££ chelsea get.

and chelsea also didnt impress me in the CL, although it was a bit harsh how the barca tie went

on the subject of ferguson's new players, the only one that sticks out for me is evra, who hasnt impressed me in the slightest
