just get a PS3, because mainly everyone who has both consoles prefears the ps3, its fact really. Unless you like Halo3

Actually, I'd say it was the opposite.
The persons who's opinion I respect the most is Kreeeee and he feels much the same way as me, Wyrdo and McDaniel (who also owns both). The Xbox360 is a better games machine.
I can think of several others too.

Secondly if you can not see the difference on your 32 LG from dvd and blu-ray then i would get rid of your LG m8
me with a 32" Mirai HDTV - and i tell you now blu-ray or HD-DVD is a lot better picture quality even on this "ghettoing" lol HDTV
McManicMan said:as for standlone players why would i want another blu-ray player when i have one in my PS3 thats actually been classed as rather good and totally upgradable via firmware?......so your arguement has "no real weight" for the majority
Also brought a Wii today yaaay !! Only got Wii sports and play can anyone recommend any good games??
There is a difference.
Not really i own both and i much prefer PS3, no way live is worth it plus imo the exclusives this year look so much better on PS3. The 360s back catalogue is alright and i like the pad but PS3 is so much sleeker + i much prefer xmb to the gashdash + additional features such as blu-ray wifi card readers etc. etc. are most beneficial especially with blu-ray capacity for games.
And how has Blu-Ray capacity benefitted a PS3 game yet? Nearly all major releases are on both consoles, so the games have to fit on DVD9. Blu-Ray capacity has been used so far to cover issues relating to the BR drives slow read speed.
NokkonWud said:Blu-Ray is nice, but of little benefit to gamers, it's a media format and for that it's brilliant. Wi-Fi again is nice, but not needed by a lot of people who would just use ethernet ports. It's easy to use it as a positive when the 360 doesn't use it from scratch.
NokkonWud said:Describing the Xbox360's back catalogue as 'alright' is madness. It's got the 2 previous games of the year exclusively (GRAW and BioShock) as well as a massive proportion of the better cross-format games and over the last year the PS3 was out, the stronger exclusives.
I've got both and the 360 has the far superior game library at the moment. If I had to make do with only one it would have to be the 360 (I haven't even played Halo 3 btw) even with it's flaws (nosie, reliability, paying for multiplayer).just get a PS3, because mainly everyone who has both consoles prefears the ps3, its fact really. I have to say, pretty much everyone I know in real life who has both consoles prefers the PS3 to the 360 also. So he's not alone.

A 20-min install for DMC means literally no loading screens which is highly benefical for that type of game.
It doesn't need Blu-Ray though, obviously. They could just do a Lost Odyssey and split it over 4 discs
It's a benefit that you don't have to change discs of course, but that's it. I know if I had the choice I'd rather not have to swap discs mid game.
