Well I think those that felt strongly that Elon is a bad person should. If I owned a Tesla I'd certainly now be thinking about getting rid of it.

I'll never even entertain the idea of getting a Tesla now.

Read the thread title, what’s the question at stake here? It’s specifically about allowing embedded tweets or not on the forums!
Sure it could’ve been triggered by recent events but the discussion isn’t about Musk.

No. I've enjoyed driving various Fords, Volkswagens and Audis over the years. They've barely got a squeaky clean past.

Forgetting the Musk thing, I think forums generally work much better without any sort of embedded post. They are old fashioned, and all the better for it.

So no to links being banned for bandwagon/political reasons, but yes to banning of all embedded tweets/youtubes/bsky/reddits etc.

Hyperlink it with a typed comment explaining what it is it it's pertinent to a discussion.

I mean if you want to micromanage the conversation to such a point you end up being the Akshually meme, just allow people to ONLY answer yes or no because the thread doesn't need a conversation, it's a question that only needs a yes or no answer, you are either for it or against it, no need to risk going off the tracks with actual conversation about related things of why you might be in favour or against it, because who wants to deal with that ? Clearly not the grill masters

I voted no, I'm able to discern the company from the idiot at the helm

My main motivation for posting this thread was because of Musk's fascist salute. I don't want to see links to his website whilst browsing a completely separate site. I am not happy that a mod has altered the words I have written in the OP. It makes me feel like the mods are downplaying the seriousness of what happened yesterday even if that was not the intention.
 
If it's not banned, can there be an option for not seeing tweets etc on the forum? Like there is now with avatars, tick / untick a box in settings.
