Should more games be released like GT5p?

this thread is crazy, i've never understood the whole fanboy idea... some people prefer the ps3 and some the xbox, who the hell cares which one you buy? the fact that people would enter into a thread just to get in their little dig is madness!

i personally bought a ps3, mainly cuz its ******* loads better!

(:D:D:D:D:D I'll leave now :p)

Don't forget to fully star out any swearing if you're coming back won't you
 
I agree with Uncharted (in its genre), it's a great game. My point is, every time a new exclusive comes we hear the same things from the same people, it was even tried with Lair before it became evident to everyone else that it was indeed, rubbish.

GT5p is better than all the racing games on Xbox360 in its style (so Forza 2), but I enjoy PGR3 and PGR4 a lot more, speed, fun, different styles of race are some of the reasons, sure, but I just think the PGR games feel more polished, certainly with online interactivity (which was actually better on PGR3 than PGR4). I also prefer TDU because of the scale of the environment and because of the island race, which when you think back, is absolute gaming magic (and one of the best moments in gaming, for me, this generation so far).

GT5p is a solid 7-8 out of 10 though, it's a very good game.

My comments above were only in that we hear the same stuff time and time again for every new release.

That's the kind of pattern we've heard over the last 12 month over the major exclusive releases. I can see why Kreeeee is annoyed with some people and calling them 'fangirls'.

Then again Nokkon the exact same can be said about xbox360 owners and the bragging the has to endured from some of those guys aswell.

It takes two to tango and both are as bad.
 
why does every single discussion decend into people calling eachother fanboys. the ammusing thing is, 9 times out of 10 nobody is causeing problems until they're accused of being one :o

Really .... Gears is the best looking game out, PS3 has no games, Blu ray not needed downloading movies is next, multiplatform titles are all better on 360 etc and so on.

I am also startled by your defence of one set of fanboys over another.

Statements like these are what have led some to question your personal bias towards one system over another.

I think he's correcting one of the above posts from 'your' to 'you're'. I completely understand this sentiment as it's such a common mistake you see online and it drives me mental (my dad is a teacher so i have been brought up with a strong belief that correct grammar > all).

This fanboy rubbish is just boring these days... well it was boring from the start but you get my point. GT5:P is a good game, if this game were to be released under a different franchise for full price i'm sure it would still be seen as a reasonable game (if it were released under the gran turismo name i'm sure it would be slated due to the huge scale of their previous games). The main gripe people seem to be displaying is that it's part of a much larger game to come thus making the 'demo' version useless eventually, yet people pay for it.

I've payed full price for games with less content with this, which just goes to show the huge amount of dedication the makers of gran turismo have as the full game SHOULD be massive.

The graphics argument... well it's all based on opinion, some people prefer one style, others another.
