Should women's sports have separate websites on BBC Sport, Sky News, etc.?

The TV guide annoys me, keeps saying something like "Football Man U v Chelsea" and I'm like great I'll plan to watch that later, then later comes... and it's a women's game.

Sick of ppl saying "it's football not women's football", I get their point, but that's why it doesn't get categorised in a helpful way for the end user.

I'm with ya but the other way round as I'd prefer to watch Chelsea women than Chelsea men! Even the flower show over the mens team!

This sort of thing will allow them to "prove" that there is more interest in womens sport than there actually is and make it easier for them to push it more.

To be fair, I do have more interest in women's sport than I used to (went to the Euro final at Wembley etc). It's a bit of a self-perpetuating hype wagon but I don't have a big issue with that if it boosts the atmosphere etc.

It's the only Chelsea team I can actually watch!

The keepers are still stupidly awful though.

BBC posting deliberately gender ambiguous thumbnails to bolster female sport click rates:

I'm starting to think you're being deliberately obtuse now. If you had any interest in cricket you'd know that the Men's T20 World Cup was held at the back end of last year, so it's hardly likely that there's another one already. Plus the men's team are playing a Test series in NZ.

Sick to death of womens football being literally shoved down everybodys throat by the BBC and Sky.
Its utter rubbish, and I have 0% interest in it, never will have any interest in it, and I might only choose to watch some of it set to some benny hill music, its absolutely turd.
Both broadcasters are doing exactly the same, shoving it in there to trap you into thinking it's real football, and then you are left with that disappointment when you realise its the womens game.
What irritates me too is women commentators being rammed down everyones throats. The BBC are the WORST, and I have to either turn it off completely, or mute it, as they have some female commentator on MOTD, and my GOD she spouts utter, utter nonsense, and her accent and tone is really dreadful.

I'm all for separating it into different sections or sites, whoever wants to watch that dross, MORE than welcome, but please leave the rest of us alone!

The biggest issue at the moment is that we are in a phase of "forcing" women into roles they haven't had before and as a result we aren't finding the best or most competent we are just putting people in and around football in the roles.

To be fair its the same in mens punditry for the most part.

I've muted comms since Owen, Ferdinand and McManamanamanaman have been doing it.

The entire sports thing and gender is a difficult subject.

That video to me makes it pretty clear that sport is not about being fair, it is a form of entertainment for most people and it's about presenting a good show while "seeming" to be as fair. If the public think that sport is about biology not gender, then we need two divisions of sport - male and female. If the people want to keep them separate, then that's what we do. If the public want other categories for any other reason, like disabled, where there is physical challenges for the athlete, or trans, or whatever, then that's what we do. But make no bones about it, those classifications are not fair. Sport isn't fair. It never was. I mean disabled you could argue there are several different classes there too..... where do we stop? Well, we stop where the public want us to, but considering what's fair or not has little to do with it.
