That looks lovely Glaucus! Simple enough to make?

Very, although I wouldn't use ready bought Moroccan spice that bit sucked(far to herby, not enough spice). I would instead just paste some harrisa paste on.

1 small onion finely diced
1 garlic clove finely diced
Olive oil
2/3rd cup barley
Butter nut squash
2 lamb chops
500ml chicken stock
~1 cup water
Thyme
Knob of butter
2-3tablespoons Parmesan
Half large courgette
2 lamb chops
Lamb chope seasoning/spice of your choice.

Fry onion and garlic till translucent, throw in the barley and toast if for a few mins.
Heat stock up in the microwave or on hob.
Then slowly add stock part at a time to the barley, waiting for it to absorb before adding more. Stirring often, throw in some thyme.
Sometime later when stock is gone, try barley. Will probably need some more water. Carry on till cooked.
Meanwhile dice/slice butternut and courgette and roast in a little oil in the oven. 30-40 mins on ~180ish.
Cover lamb in your coating of choice and fry how you like it. Pull off and allow to rest.
Back to the barely add the butter and parameasan and mix through, throw in the butternut squash and mix that through.
Serve.

Oh should add make sure its pearl/pearled barley or you'll be cooking it for hours.

Cakes that my girlfriend made today all from scratch:

They are strawberry, raspberry, apricot jam tarts, sugar dusted vanilla thins, double chocolate shortbread biscuits and farmhouse fruit cake.
