Show Off Your Dish (Picture Thread) (Rules added)

Lol. Sorry :)

To be honest I wasn't happy with how they turned out so I kind of forgot about them.

I'll get some more pies made this weekend hopefully - or very soon at least (honest *honest* this time :p).

This bad boy was insanely awesome

Porterhouse cut which weighted 1kg

It was pretty thick as well

Finished half the spinach before I remembered pics, there were also 2 plates of veggies which I didn't bother picturing as nobody wants to see vegetables when steak's involved.

It looks like it's cooked medium well but it was actually medium rare and it tasted divine! Normally I prefer my steaks rare or blue but decided to try out the recommendation from James of Turner and George and I gotta say this may be my new way of cooking steak purchased from there.

lol thanks it was an awesome steak.

No chips needed man, I had a lot more wilted spinach than was shown on that plate and I also had a plate of steamed broccoli and another plate with kale.

You just listed the three best green vegetables too :)

Almost. You forgot about asparagus :)

I rarely have chips with steak nowadays. I prefer just vegetables.

I'm also jealous of that steak - makes the pathetic little sirloin I had on Friday seem entirely inadequate :(

Asparagus would be on my top four list - I'm not sure what order I'd have them in though...tough one.

I've never had asparagus. My mum always said it was hard and woody. She probably just can't cook it lol.

The end of the stem can be woody. If you bend fresh asparagus until it snaps, it will snap at the boundary between the fresh and woody part of the stem. It's a failsafe way of avoiding the woody bit. ;)

Edit And on the green veg front. Freshly steamed Artichoke served with butter and black pepper is a bit special.
