The motherboard is horizontal so that's where the GPU sits.

Need to sort out the hard drive chaos as I've started to use up the g-sata ports now. (6x HDD's, 1x SSD, 1x DVD-RW) Also need to change the cooler on the gfx card as it's getting well hot.

Ignore my stupidity here - but what's that thing in a PCI slot below the gfx card??

It's a xonar essence ST deluxe sound card, which comes with the HDAV H6 surround card. (connected via the ribbon cable. OCUK don't sell the daughter card)

it isn't. It is in a Mini-ITX chassis, and the motherboard 'tray' is suspended above the PSU.
An HTPC is a home theatre PC... You wouldn't find a GTX670 in one of those
