****Show Us The inside of your Case!****

Got a slim 280 radiator for inside the removable lid and a 240 for the front, going to be using a Laing D4 to begin with, CPU and GPU block (that is if I can find a 7950 block :)

Reservoir wise I'm goingto go with the combined pump top / reservoir.

it's a tight fit I had a 280 in the top and 240 in the front. The 240 had to go the wrong way round because of the drive bays. and the 280 is too small to fit the top and slides through (i put the fans on the underside to stop the rad slipping I also had to dremel the top out. Would be interesting to see your finished product, I didn't mind dremeling as the top cover slid over it hiding it all which looked sweet.

I'll find a couple of photos Wish i'd known you were planning this I'd have (tried to) sell you my case for spares and my 280 mm rad and enermax fans which i don't need anymore hahaha

Still can't wait to see how you get on with it. My main gripes with the case was cable management was impossible.

sorry for phone pic, still dont know how to adjust settings on the S3

The case has went through quite a bit of component changing and I think it's time for it to retire.

After getting a XL R2/new cooler ( Last month)

Not slating, just saying...
I'd be tempted to drop those HDDs down as far as you can.
Gets them out of sight, easier to cable manage, unobstructed airflow to GFX card.

I think the bottom fan will be on the HDDs way if they were moved to the very bottom.

Dropped both the drives as low down as they can go after removing the bottom case fan, it really didn't effect temperatures of anything at all so it's no loss. Now I've got one and three quarters of Gentle Typhoon's blowning air directly into the system :)

Might try raising the case so you have 45-50mm bottom clearance. That helps bottom fan get better airflow and it quieted mine some too.

My case has been sitting on some ghetto feet for months, took an old fan and cut it in half. Rotated them 90 degrees now so there is about 5cm of clearance from the carpet to the bottom of the case. Doing that alone has reduced temperatures abit in the case.

Speaking of ghetto I've also resolved the issue of my graphics card flexing from the weight of the cooler...

Good 'ol Knex wrapped in black tape, slotted into the bottom case fan screw hole perfectly!

LOL - Well I have been tempted by the new Corsair 540 case as well, I know what you mean about cable management... I had to try and line all the cables around the back of the motherboard tray... it was interesting trying to squeeze the side panel back on :D

Will need to dremel the two holes in the top panel like you said, pity Lian Li didn't make them a bit bigger - they look like they are designed for radiator pipes / fan cables but aren't big enough :)

yeah looks perfect for watercooling but i do wish lian li would fix the cable management issue it's the same on every case. just needs a couple of cm more and it would be fine.

Good ol kinex, I have use mechano for a few mods I'll have to dig out the pics

Looks awesome :D Any plans for some lighting in there?

Ta Guys.

I had changed the top two 120mm scythe gt's to 140mm bitfenix pro's with red LED lighting but just think it looked kinda tacky (and the scythes performed better anyway!). Not a fan of coloured coolant or LED 'bling bling' lights tbh :)
