M3N78-Pro .. Very ancient AM2+ Setup Runs like a beast still and until i can pick up a good i5 and board etc cheap ish it will stay

You would be suprised at how well this chip actually clocks Hence its h100. I don't feel the need to upgrade despite it bottlenecking my card and i don't have enough RAM (2GB LOL) i do keep looking out for an i5 2500k and a cheap ish board

This phenom ii isnt too bad either. Doesn't do amazing clock speeds but the northbridge frequency is benchable well above average.

Happy to see my coolant is still the same 6 months down the line. The whole system is due an upgrade at some point next year.

My latest upgrade. New maximus VI formula mobo with a 4770k.



Took out all the blue extension cables too leave a bit less clutter. Still not the tidiest tbh, but ill have a better attempt at cable management this week. Gotta gut the case out to remove the cpu for delidding.

As much as we both love the K2, it's hiding that pretty mobo

Couldn't you just remove the cooler to get to the chip without having to pull everything out?

Couldn't you just remove the cooler to get to the chip without having to pull everything out?

It does indeed cover it up a fair bit. Hopefully ill be changing coolers soon. Thinking of going with one of the ocuk fathom watercooling solutions. And ideally id like to change cases. Either go back to my lian li a70f or get one of the corsair 540 cases. Bit fed up with the shinobi xl tbh mate.

Nah not at the moment i have a amd phenom II 955 sat in a box but i have not bothered as im probably going to sell my board/cpu/ram combo soon and upgrade

The fathom is cool and all that, but once you go down that road, you'll want to stick everything underwater before long

It annoys me greatly how close the 2nd and 3rd 7970 sit. Doesn't look very nice.
