Very comfortable, although because of weather I've only sat in the saddle for 1 hour continuously max so far.

It's defiantly a roadsters position but not bolt upright, there is some forward lean and a fair amount of tank to 'overcome'. It's not super sports leant over by any means but maybe not as upright/casual as competing bikes.

Plenty of riser options and alternative bars available if you fancied a more upright tourer position.

I was intending to keep my VFR800 for longer distances when my 2015 RR arrived, but after spending 3 hours in the saddle on the Beemer I'm not sure it's worth it. Apart from making the VFR feel long, heavy, slow and crude it was pretty comfortable- heated grips are great, pegs set perfectly, plenty of room to move about, and even the seat is nicely padded. The single R is only going to be better comfort-wise.

I still cannot get over how nice slow speed usage is. To be fair though, I am coming from a 690CC big single :D Being able to do clutch out, idle roll in 1st or 2nd without any engine or fuelling issues at slow speed for traffic/junctions etc is a breath of fresh air.

the big single cylinders are so vibey aswell,i only test rode a ccm r30 and I don't think I could have lived with it long term

il4's are silky smooth(even better with the 1 litre machines as you have so much torque aswell)

A guy in my parking lot has a Ducati (not sure which one, older sports bike style) and he looked devastated when I asked what's wrong with it when he fired it up

It sounded like a bunch of spanners in a cement mixer.
