*** Show us your bikes! ***

I remember seeing a brand new 999 in the showroom with a huge puddle of fork oil on the floor where it had leaked out

It looks as though Ducati have moved to wet clutches now.

Yeah they're all watercooled now too (apart from the scrambler, not sure if there are others) and pretty sure most now have wet clutches.

The 821 monster I rode sounded friggin' awesome, no bag o' nails sound, just the thump and roar of a V-twin.

They've come on a lot in the last few years - I wouldn't have an air cooler monster/hypermotard as a daily bike but wouldn't have a second thought using one of the new watercooled engined bikes every day (monster 821/1200/hypermotard 821/multistrada 1200 etc.)

Dad's new 2015 R1... beast of a bike... my R6 stands no chance

My New Honda NC700s

It's practically brand new with only 1500 miles on it and only a couple of hundred quid more expensive than my stolen ER6F, that being said while the Kawasaki was too loud this may be too quiet and although I'm a brand new biker the NC700 is surprisingly boring.

I kinda miss the kick in the chest acceleration of the ER6 and the sense of danger, plus it felt nicer through the corners. You can really feel that the Honda is down on power even compared to the new Honda CB650F I did my DAS on but I did buy it to commute to work on and it seems great in the city plus I love the frunk, which is surprisingly huge & the unexpected centre stand.

I had one as a loaner when I got knocked off. Like for like replacement... a CB1000R to this... is not like for like. As you say, really lacking any power. I couldn't believe the first time I pulled out to overtake on this NC700.

Smooth enough ride to get you from A to B, handy storage, but no fun :(

It's designed to be a super economic commuter bike, so excitement was probably never on the design brief :D Did you know the engine is based on half a Honda Jazz lump?

I suspect the MT-07 is stealing a lot of sales from Honda. It's cheaper, more exciting to ride, has a great exhaust sound (simmilar to a V-twin) and is still good on fuel, though adnmittedly it doesn't have the very handy storage of the NC.

Yup, read & watched every review I could find before buying it, sorta had to as I bought it online without seeing it. Someone mentioned that it had near scooter mpg and that kinda sold it for me. As for the storage I love it. I had planned on using my tail bag and then eventually buying a rear-rack and top box but there's no need, I can take my lunch and various supplies for work and the bike looks uncluttered. All it needs now is a louder exhaust, I don't want people to fear me like they did on the ER6F but I'd at least like them to know I'm about. :D

Nothing surprising about it fella, any review you care to read will tell you the NC700 is an excitement free zone because it's designed around it's fuel economy, anything else is secondary, it didn't get much of a production run as well before Honda gave it a capacity hike & replaced it with the NC750.

It surprised me cause I found my scooter and the CBF125 pretty exciting, I think I'd be happier with it had I not experienced the ER6F which was stupidly fast.

Nice bike, though not one I've any interest in owning, and for what you want it for it'll do a great job. Isn't it automatic as well?

I do like the storage on the bike, when the bike was released I wondered why others don't do it but I know they can because the cylinders are virtually flat, and it solves the dilemma of how to carry a heavy chain.

looks a nice machine stove, what cc though 700cc?

just need to hire jean claude van damme to protect it now
It's 670cc with a whole 47 bhp but an impressive 68 mpg. I think that's why they stopped making it as it's an A2 bike and would be competing with their CB500F/CB500X.

I had my heart set on the NC700X as I like the higher seat height and adventure styling but this was so much cheaper and managed to get a small discount with the delivery. I know it's not a desirable bike but I'm gonna do everything possible to deter thieves getting their hands on it. Once my scooter is repaired and sold at night this will be covered in the front garden, have 2 alarmed disc locks, a huge chain wrapped around a tree and cheap phone in the frunk for tracking, it's not quite Van Damme but it's hopefully enough to put most thieves off.
