I prefer the 'stubby' looking exhausts as you can hide them under the bike and point the more to side rather than back so whilst filtering the noise goes sideways. Also during a crash or slide you don't have to worry about a big exhaust on the side.

Have you tried RSV4? It sounds like a motogp bike with a good can...

BTW What part of Poland did you try your brothers-in-law bike? Some places have nice twisties, although most of the roads aren't great. But apparently they're improving from what some of my friends told me, next time you visit your brother-in-law tell him to take you on some good "patelnie" he'll know what you mean. ;)

Haven't tried one, no... I'm quite put off by Italian bikes... although I had a craving for the older Aprilia 2-cyl race bike and some of the newer Ducatis are absolutely stunning. Price vs performance vs Italian reliability just leave a sour taste in my mouth.

We were in Malbork, about an hour south of Gdansk. I know there are some nice roads to the south/east and we found some on the way to a timber/war museum last year, although not sure where that was :)

Don't blame you tbh, I tried a non-japanese/german brand and regret it now. I still think that Japanese and Korean vehicles have better reliability than Germans tho. :p

Yeah, I know roughly which parts of Poland you're talking about, last year a lot of work has been carried out around Rzeszów. Some of those bends were perfect for knee dragging, clear view, no trees.

I have a GPR Furore can on my ZR7, nice deep tone and not stupidly loud

got a few close ups/view from, behind i like the gpr cans.

whats the finish on them like?

they got some nice designs but they seem to have really limited pictures of them especialy fitted so its hard to get a sense of scale

the arrow are a nice looking can, they do sound nice but not as loud as other pipes, they pop and crackle on the over run aswell

I think this is more my OCD than anything else but the fact that the can is not parallel to the seat/bodywork just makes me think it looks strange.

yh,i like the big pipes though tbh, also like the stubby ones on certain machines,im guessing you'd do more tail fairing damage with a short stubby fitted aswell should you ever come off it

Finish is good, I'll take one from the back when I get time.
unless where you buy it from has it in stock, there is a 3 week wait while they make it back in Italy, I got it from DB-killer on ebay £210

really like the deep tune

too loud gives you a headache on long journeys though, unless you wore earplugs, then everyone else but you gets the headache haha

best thing with silent pipes, you can sneek out late at night undetected and visit your mistress

It's my wife's bike but I ride it occasionally.

Aprilia Mojito 125. Not quite the same as the Bandit I used to have but it gets through town easily and it's easy on the wallet!

That mayyy be so... although the Germans are quite impressive... good enough for me & I seem to have something of a preference for German vehicles, given both of my cars are also German... odd, as the language drives me nuts! haha...

I think it's the attention to detail, it leads to some really nice design tweaks and touches that someone only notices if they are looking :)

I was quite tempted by an R1... but they're too small for me... if the S1000RR was any smaller, it'd be too small.

Busa was high on the list... but I wanted more nimble than cruiser.

The GSXR and Fireblade are aching for a refresh... so it really came down to S1000RR or R1 as I fancied something new new :)

@crinkleshoes, found one of the roads I was thinking about, here's a quick pic of it.
