*** Show us your bikes! ***

Chamonix is a great little town. I've been about 4 times (admittedly in the snow), there's plenty to do and plenty of shopping for the other half.

Yep, great choice for a base to ride from.

Most of my bike tours go through that place and there are some absolutely amazing routes close by, some still very unknown!

Think you'd have time for me to show you the best route into Italy, via the Centovalli (I then back via the Grand Saint Bernard pass but that's a bit much for a day)? It literally made my jaw drop... I really can't describe it to you and it has to be seen.

Put the picture in spoilers or upload it to imgur and use 'huge thumbnail option'. Do it quickly before an admin checks the dimensions of your picture. :p I think the limit was 1280x1024 or something like that...

Sorted ... though you'd think in the days of OC selling 4k monitors and smart phones having 1920x1080p screens it would be kosher :D

I like to warn people before they get a warning, I had too many of them in the past... mostly for size.

In a word... no... you need to travel a fair way to find anything decent, but we string together on/off ramps and corners to get a decent ride... plus the view is awesome.. this was taken 4 miles from my house

Hot, I got sunburnt on my arms. 92f and 75% humidity is a killer but winter isn't too far off, it cools down in October and will be lovely riding over winter.
