*** Show us your bikes! ***

Thanks everyone for the replies, but I've decided on the Rider v5 now, looking at the reviews etc, seems like the ideal choice.

I've got a TomTom & a Garmin, Garmin is wide screen for the bike as the TomTom is standard & awkward to use & hard to see with the vibration. TomTom for the car & Garmin for the bike but they both get me where I want to go.

With the Garmin, once it's mounted, can it then be charged using USB?

I have a USB port wired in to my bike, so rather than wiring the satnav in separately, I'd rather just plug it in to USB when mounted.

I wouldn't have thought you'd have the ability to plug a standard USB cable into the bike cradle as it wouldn't be waterproof, I'd think it'll be a similar setup to the Tomtom where it comes with it's own specific connection and battery cable.

With the TomTom, I found a USB cable for it somewhere which plugged in to the bottom of the unit, where the cable that routes to your battery would normally go, so it had that funny waterproof end with a USB on the other end.

Well the optimate attaches directly to the battery doesn't it? and the tomtom power cable can attach directly to the battery... optimate plug on the tomtom cable, optimate plug attach to battery, job done.

Pretty sure the optimate connectors are just standard SAE connectors.

****** Hell it's so frustrating but my Memory for this & last year still hasn't come back so I can't tell you how I connect it. :o

Yup, they are just SAE. Would just need to find a plug end that I can use then.

That mito looks newish, terrible bikes though, ticking time bombs

I don't think they have the seven speeds now ?mine had 7 gears, gives you one hell of a bad habit as even now I still go for seventh gear

Tail tidy and rear lights cleaned up. Glad to live somewhere, where the Police do not harass you for silly things such as a semi hidden lic plate, or switching to very inconspicuous LEDS. Exhaust is absolutely not for road use, as stated on the box, but the Police really do not press on any of that crap out here. Actually most Harleys are uncorked, rare to see/hear one corked.

Can I have your garage & tool boxes please?

I was 'walking' down a street on Google Maps in a random place in the US the other day. Love the way all the garages are wider than the house itself :D

Love the look & shape of that bike & agree definitely get rid of that lump of plastic on the back & stick a tail tidy on there, I'd get rid of that Yellow on the seat an all & try & find a better exhaust. I can't help thinking it needs some "Old" fashioned scrambler tyres on it, Not full on knobblys but definitely something with Square chunky tread on them.
Apart from that I think it's Lovely. :p

Exhaust is aftermarket.. Though because this is a Full Throttle model, the exhaust that comes with it, is actually an upgraded Termignoni from what you get on the other models, but it's still 'legal' and therefore had to go !! :p

This one sounds beautiful. Actually one of the nicest sounding bikes, i've had the pleasure of listening too ! And it includes a race tune for a little extra pep.

What about the waterproofing though? I see the v5 has a USB port which you can get to by opening the bottom flap, but then you might get some issues if it gets really wet?

Looks like the power lead has a waterproof connector on it.

The powered dock for the V2 was such a rip-off (and isn't fully weatherproof itself) that I just use the USB port on my V2 but I pack the connector out with Contralube whenever I need to use it and it's still working nicely after being soaked in properly torrential rain a few times.
