My Honda NSR 125. I'll just say it's very different compared to my Yamaha YBR 125 :p

That 125 would **** on any restricted 33bhp bike I'm willing to bet. Lightweight 2 stroke power.

Nah no chance. NSR125 aint all that powerful even when full power anyway, certainly not as powerful as a RS125/Mito. I went from a full power RS125 to a 33BHP restricted VFR400 and the 400 was quicker.

I could imagine a bigger engine perhaps having more torque but if it's heavier and they both have the same horsepower.. how could it possibly go faster?

A full power NSR is probably only about 20ish BHP. Even full power RS125/Mito's dont make exactly 33BHP, probably 26-30 or so.

Their power delivery may make them feel fast because all the power is in the 9-12k range, whereas a restricted 400 basically stops accelerating at about 7-8k rpm and its a very linear power delivery.

I literally went from a full power RS125, to a VFR400 and didnt expect much. I was very happily surprised when it was faster and also handled a shed load better too. More planted.

So after being taken out by a learner driver I decide to blow my new bike fund on a 1998 (Jap built :D) hornet 600. As I've still got broken ribs I've only taken her to the petrol station down the road...n the next tow....couple of towns over hehe :p Initial impressions are, well...wow! The manic laughter in my helmet after I opened her up for the first time is going to be a fond moment forever!

Things I'm planning on doing in the next few weeks:

Full service (sparks/filters/oil/carb balance)
Polishing up the downpipes
Braided hoses
New mirrors
New levers
Rear hugger
New undertray with shotgun tail lights
Paddock stand

That NSR looks like it came out of a showroom!

It's crazy how cheaply you can pick them up for these days and being 2 stroke you can do nearly all work on them yourself with half a brain and a full toolbox.

Got me a new commuter bike (the ER5 was fine, but a mate wanted to buy it so I took the opportunity to get a new bike)

Ignore the exhaust for now, its my old Quill of the 750, sounds so much sexier than the Yoshi, I am sending it back to quill to get cut down, a new badge stuck on it, repacked and converted to a titanium link pipe :D
