Don't think I could get rid of that though, its a beaut

Mind you, my insurance is only just over £100 on mine.

When I bought my first R1 brand new in 2001 I was 25 with 2 years no claims and 1st years insurance on that was £1100 so things havent changed that much I guess

That's one nice R1, I'd struggle to sell it, although I wouldn't have thought the 675 is going to be much better on the insurance.

The insurance on my 2012 675R is more than 2x what i paid for my 10R (granted the 10R was older etc). 675's are very expensive to insure for some reason, a fair few people have found this on the owners club.

Should be picking this up on Friday. A guy has PX'd it against my Westie. Not sure if I should keep it and stump up for the insurance (£1200!) or sell and buy what I really wanted in the first place (a 675 Daytona).

Insurance is steep because I lost my NCB - I've not had a policy in 2 years :( And I was in a car crash last October.

Damn you insurance! It's affordable, but paying over a grand for insurance makes me uneasy!

Want want want want want want want want want want :D

For my '08 R1 - second bike (first 1000cc though), one no fault accident (that killed my Ninja!), and a year's riding experience (I think I did get the year's NCB) = £1500 fully comp

Managed to get £300 notes off that price for having a Datatool alarm/immob fitted though - no brainer really as I got that and fitted as part of buying the bike new (sigh, poor George Whites).

Anyway, stump up the dough and get that beast on the road, or, ride it down to Bristol and I'll have it - you can have my freshly serviced 675 ;)

I actually put a deposit down on a more sensible bike last night! Still getting the R1, but I've a feeling it's going up for sale! Shame as it's only got 7,500 miles on it.

The one I'm keeping is a RR-5 CBR 600 RR in black / silver. 4,800 miles, Yoshi can, R&G tail tidy. The bike is honestly the cleanest used bike I've ever seen. There's not a single mark, stone chip or scuff to be seen and the underside of the bike looks like new. Forgot to say it's got a new set of Pirelli Diablo's fitted less than 200 miles ago. Can't wait to pick it up :)

Oh and it's less than half the price to insure it FC, and cost a bargain £3,450.

Nice VFR. What year? I had a 2002 model, first of the Vtecs. Probably the most comfortable bike I've ever owned. Sadly at around 36000 miles it developed an unusual overheating problem that the Honda dealer couldn't fix. They charged me enough replacing various parts... In the end I said enough's enough, and bought a Fireblade :D

Still miss the VFR though.

Lovely 800i I've got a 97 750, last of the carbs in the same colour. How sexy are our single sided swinging arms & rear wheels on a scale of 10 ? A 17 of course. :D

I got rid of my old BMW F650 to get this as well.

Its got a Venom exhaust which sounds incredible and it rides incredibly well, wish the same could be said for the gf ;)

Managed to lowside my Z1000 yesterday, had been on a forum run to oban and was soaked to my boxers freezing cold and not in the mood, i went into a corner and hit mud, couldnt see it it from the angle was at, only doing about 30mph,

Im ok and leathers oddly didnt have a mark, everything ordered, just need to find a decent painter round here to getthe back bit sorted

Bought a brand new Triumph Tiger 800XC back in November, really do love it. But for some reason im sitting here looking at the Ducati Multistrada forum.
I was deciding between the two before I bought the Tiger. But decided it was too much money and I like the idea of british made.
Has anyone ever ridden a multistrada, what do you guys think?

Just come back from riders, had a look at the multistrada GT. Looks amazing, it really is a toss up between the explorer XC and the ducati. Either way im gonna start saving now, the plan is to treat myself for my 30th bday. Im 27 at the moment so I should be ok if im strict:)
