*** Show us your bikes! ***

Managed to lowside my Z1000 yesterday, had been on a forum run to oban and was soaked to my boxers freezing cold and not in the mood, i went into a corner and hit mud, couldnt see it it from the angle was at, only doing about 30mph,

That sucks, but it looks like you have got away with fairly minimal damage really. I know my concentration is significantly worse when soaked and freezing cold, which is why I'm mostly a fair weather biker these days :(

First on the list of stuff to buy is probably a nice hugger before it's rainy season again (hah).

Only had this a week and loving it. Plenty quick enough for me. 10000 miles and like its just rolled out the dealers. Loving it.

haha i thought that originally when he told me he was getting one but when i went to look at it in person it kinda grew on me (not as big and chunky as i thought) guess its a marmite bike.

plus it sounds mint nice v4 growl through the akra can. Goes like stink too

Yeah it feels pretty rapid (I test rode a couple), and - like most heavy bikes I'd hope! - feels pretty light when on the move.

Has he got the factory heated grips? The switch on those was flipping awful. One fell apart (literally, down to circuit board) on a test ride. Garage guy - not mentioning it before , but getting a bit of a moan from me - said "oh yeah they're all like it, there's an improvement coming out for that...". The bugger.
