*** Show us your Dogs ***

KaHn, your dog's lovely mate!

I need to take an updated pic of our Golden retriever puppy I posted up earlier in this thread. He's 4 1/2 months now and 20kg, allready as tall as the Finnish laphound we have and has a real love of anything water!

Cheers,
Matt.

20kgs at 4 1/2 month is big, Max is still around 34kgs at 10 months need to get him weighed again but he is still quite small.

I'm quite lucky to have such a placid GSD who is so friendly.

That near the Abbey KaHn? Was the beach the one down from the caravan park?

Had my dog round there a few times. Bit further to travel for me though.

Its South Shields mate, they are a few caravan parks near by but the picture overlooking the piers is the mouth of the tyne.

Yeah I think he's just going to be quite tall and solid, he's not overweight and gets 2/3 good long walks a day. I said 20KG but thats a guestimate, he was 19KG 2 weeks ago when we weighed him at the vets, could be a bit more :)

I would be careful with walking him lots at his age, as they are prone to HD like german sheps you don't really want to push the hips out at an early age, I am starting to see the signs of it in Max which isn't a good thing.

I know it sounds weird but its the first 12-18months of a large breed dogs life which give his bone structure time to grow.

Things like no playing on stairs, no agility (including ball chasing with large bounces/twists) too much running.

Not saying you should walk your dog less mate just beware of some of the risks.

:D

Is this one of those ultra rare Snake Dogs :p

I should have known by looking at the top of the far cliffs anyway. What threw me was the bits of decking look like the visitors centre at the Abbey as well.

If you ever come up to see Von tell him to take you to the Crab Shack (the place with the decking) it is right on the beach and the owners are very dog friendly, out side they put large buckets of water and if its less than favourable weather they don't mind you indoors either.

Also serves some cracking food.

its great to see so much love for dogs and so many healthy dogs :)

When im back in england i shall put up some pictures of my labradoodle and golden retriever :D

I took a quick snap of Chester the golden retreiver pup this morning. As you can see, at 4 1/2 months he's truly a big lad compared to our laphound behind him. She weighs in at about 22kg and is 10 yeards old :)

My Husky puppy! Not a great picture though, he's much bigger now!

Lovely Sibe there, was he the only one with heterochromia in the litter, I know it is more common in Sibes but never seen anyone with one, normally just the bright blue eyes.

How are you getting on with training him? I was looking at sibes for my next dog when Max gets a bit older.
