*** Show us your Dogs ***

To be clear, I have never bought a tennis ball.

There are probably 3 or 4 more in each of our cars.

Also he occasionally answers to to his name. Doesn't seem especially intelligent but loves life.

A bit of licence needed as neither of these are MY dogs, but i went with a good friend who bought one of my pups to a local doggie event, he took his 2 year old dogand I took his dog's brother. The usual mutts abounded but I spotted two exceptions, a stunning male standard poodle, who, as I suspected, was a multiple show winner, a PROPER sized standard poodle oozing quality and exceptionally nice manners.

And then appeared a truly ultra rare (and expensive) dog in the UK, a Thai Ridgeback. A rescue no less as it had shown aggressive tendencies to its first owner. Apparently a professional trainer then did "something" to it that made it terrified of people other than his new owner and most other dogs, but the lady was doing a good job of trying to get it to recover its confidence.

My dog was bitten by a female thai ridgeback a few years ago. The owners had rescued her and thought she was a staffy crossed with a Rhodesian ridgeback. They had no idea they had rehomed one of the most difficult breed of dogs to train.

They are a bit like the Anatolian Karabash, still pretty primitive. Plus like the early import phases of all ultra rare breeds that command crazy prices in the West, the temptation to interbreed becomes overwhelming given the initial tiny gene pool.

This is Paddy. He is a 4 month old Border - Lakeland Terrorist cross. Both parents were working terriers on a farm. His favourite game is shake the life out of anything that resembles a rodent and shag anything bigger. His favourite food is rabbit ****. Despite his genes, he loves presenting himself for a belly scratch like a lady wanting to be serviced.
