If you don't want to go full-raw diet you can supplement a normal diet simply by buying a bag of frozen chicken pieces at the supermarket (very cheap despite being human grade). A raw chicken drumstick or wing added to your dogs diet will be a welcome treat. See how she gets on with it.

I wear rigger boots, Wellingtons tend to draw my feet if worn for hours on end as they don't breathe. Having said that finding rigger boots that last more than 12 months is a nightmare, even the dearer ones seem to expire quickly. Cost wise it's a toss up between cheap ones every 6 months or dearer ones annually.

What wellies do you all use over winter? Cheap pair of Dunlops? Or aren’t they comfy for longer walks?
I've bought various wellies over the years, including Dunlops, and they all leaked to some extent or other. I paid some £80 for a pair of fancy wellies with a neoprene upper which were very comfortable to walk in and would have been perfect.. had they not also leaked. These days during Winter I wear decent walking boots (Meindl Glockner GTX) but they are quite heavy and a pain in mud even though they're waterproof. They're also leather so need cleaning regularly and waxing which gets tiresome. If it's really bad out there it's back to the leaky Dunlops + waterproof socks :-)

This is what puts me off about my Alt Bergs, it's the maintenance of them, but I don't really use them for anything else other than outdoor gigs so I might just bite the bullet and wear them for walking again.

Other half has le chameau and loves them.. personally I use my hiking boots when I know it's wet. I can't bring myself to wear wellies.

Here's our Brodie, an ex racer from Ireland.

The biggest Grey I've ever seen, towers over me when he gets his front paws on my shoulders and I'm 6'1.

He's a goofy **** sometimes but man, I don't half miss him when I'm out the house or travelling somewhere.

They're honestly the most easy going breed of dog I've ever known. perfect with kids, ironically need very little exercise, sleep 22 hours of the day but can be so charming and fun when they want to play. It's shame so many people seem to dislike them just on face value.

I walk an Irish, ex-racer called Lass and she's exactly the same. One of my favourite dogs. She just pootles along on our walks and is no trouble. Very affectionate.

It's been just over a year now since louis passed and we really started to miss having a dog around. The constant tippy tap, vacuuming the rugs and carpets, the fights in the bedroom for space on the bed - some will say why bother, us dog owners know different. Anyway, after my thread on opinions on Vizlas, we went and got this bad boy. 8 week old Toby. A fox Red Labrador. Great lineage. His great great grandad was louis grandad. The mum and dad were lovely, the dad was absolutely stunning and the mum was so caring and loving to her remaining pups and also us. Coming over snuggling up to us in the farm house garden where we got the pup from. The breeders are a working farm with the dogs and free roaming around the farm. What a life eh!

Anyway. Pictures.

Sorry about the crappy images, they are cropped and from my phone. I will get the SLR out over the week to document his progress.
