Nice to have furballs running around the new place.

Egyptian Maus cost roughly about the same cost as a Maine ****. I got mine for around £450.

I know that Makunouchi got his Maine Coons for around the same price and I was most impressed by his 2. If I were to buy a Maine ****, I would almost certainly buy from his breeder.

Incidentally, I was looking at Savannah breeders yesterday and I know a few people on this forum are interested in going the Savannah route. F3 Savannahs can be had for around £600, so the prices are coming down to acceptable levels. My problem is that I only want an F2 Savannah (this shall be my 3rd and final cat, ever) and right now there are none for sale in the UK, so I must wait.

LOL! Got my cat for £15 :)

His mother was a regular moggy, and all the rest of the litter were regular moggies. Other people had come along and no one had bought him, favouring the moggy kittens instead.

We saw this big lanky blond blob of a kitten and bought him, having no idea that basically he had maine **** in him :) (Or indeed even what a maine **** was)

Obviously one of the litter's fathers, or a relative up the tree, were a main coone.

When he was younger he used to play fetch and bring things back to us. Another maine **** trait I only discovered recently.

Have you got any pics of him...I've scrolled through this thread and I can't find any of your cat.

Only got an old one to hand....

He's an uber friendly fellow and is well know around the neighbourhood for just going up to folks. In his younger days he walk down the neighbourhood with us when we went off somewhere into town. We'd return an hour or two later and he still be sitting there (100-200ft away from home) waiting on the corner for us to come back.

He follows my other half around the house like a dog...

Incredibly friendly, lovely cat, who unfortunaly is now get very old (15+yrs) :(
